They giggled and watched as he pointed and gestured to everything around the playground and labelled it as different parts of their ‘kingdom’, taking the stick from him so he may be able to use both of his hands as he pleased. “We need to find you a proper sword then, Sir Matthew!”

He held them gently. “Hey… thanks” he smiled

“What for..?” They looked up at him, head tilted in confusion.

“Coming around with me, just aimlessly doing nothing. Being around” he hummed

“Oh..!” They flushed a little and smiled at him, shaking their head a little.

Matthew smiled as he kissed their hand. “Thank you” he winked

Klaus blushed deeply and hid their face against his shoulder.

He giggled as he kept leading the way, he then got to his apartment. "Wanna just have nachos or something and watch something?"

“You looked like you had been… I’m sorry.”

He shrugged. “No worries, it’s not like you did anything to cause it” he smiled before his grasp tightened on the book. He was lying, about something.

“Pollux… I know you enough to tell that you’re lying about something.”

His lips pressed into a frown, then he turned his eyes away. “Look…. Matt, I’m sorry but I did something and I can’t talk about it. Or it might put you in danger okay?”

“Oh… I’m sorry then…”

He sighed. “Its fine, my own fault for being like this…. but hey, you’re safe at least” he smiled weakly.

Matt frowned and moved to hug him gently. “But… you’re not…”

Pollux tensed up at not only his hug but his words. He then shook his head, forcing a smile. “No worries, I got this…”

He immediately let go of him when he felt him tense up, silently cursing himself. Of course he tensed up, who wouldn’t? “That doesn’t make me worry any less.”

Pollux then shakily grabbed Matt s knee, smiling. “I know, but this way is to keep you safe. You didn’t want to, so to keep you safe I did it…” He hummed for his face fell. Damn it he told.

“Pollux..! I appreciate the sentiment, but I don’t want you to be in danger because of me.”

He gave a small shrug. "No issues, I'm not in any danger as of right now. Okay? I'm safe as long as it goes according to plan"

His lips pressed into a frown, then he turned his eyes away. “Look…. Matt, I’m sorry but I did something and I can’t talk about it. Or it might put you in danger okay?”

He smiled before looking down to it. Sometimes he honestly forgot about that, the metal, to him, was almost warm to the touch even on this cold day.

They had a light glove over the metal so it wouldn’t get too cold, knowing it could possibly get hurt if it did.

Pollux followed him quietly before seeing the book and smiling. He normally would have just went ahead and grabbed the precious book but seeing the cane made he Italian worry. He stayed by the doorway leading to the table before whispering. “I-I didn’t know you had company, I can come back another day if you want or need me to”

“Oh no no, you’re fine. Papa’s staying with me for a bit; he’s upstairs taking a nap. Don’t worry.” Matt smiled a bit and motioned for him to come in.

He was hesitant but still he followed and sat down opposite of the can before he grabbed the book, smiling. “Well, thank you for keeping this safe” he smiled calmly.

He smiled and moved the cane to lean it against the wall before sitting down as well, nodding. “Of course, Pollux. I didn’t think you’d want anything to happen to it.”

He flushed a bit at his words before looking at him, then removing his glasses to show that they were poofy, puffy and swollen, as if he was crying. “I’m glad, thank you”

Matt nodded a little and furrowed his brows at the sight. He was really worried about Pollux.

He was smiling until he saw that look in Matt s eyes, it made something churn in his stomach as his smile fell. “W…. what? Is there something on my face?” He asked

“No… were-were you crying..? Is everything alright?”

He blinked before putting his glasses on once more. "N-no... why do You ask?"
