The door clicked open. Sally’s heart slammed against her ribs as Jake stepped inside, pizza box in hand. His eyes widened, then narrowed in slow recognition.
Her sister smiled brightly from the side. “Perfect timing! Say hello to the nice man, baby girl.”
Sally stood frozen, arms raised high in the childish oven mitts, the embroidered words “I love my mummy” and “I love my daddy” impossible to hide. Soap foam and drool poured down her chin, soaking the crop top that boldly declared “My mommy wipes me front to back.” The thick diaper hung heavy and crinkled loudly between her shaking legs, its cartoon elephants and pastel blocks fully exposed. She tried to speak, but it came out as a wet, garbled sob around the soap. “J-Jaaake… p-please… don’t…”
Jake stared, taking in every humiliating detail—the hair curlers, the tear-streaked face, the powder on her thighs, the way the diaper sagged obviously between her knees. A stunned laugh escaped him. “This is real? You dumped me because I was ‘too poor’… and now you’re standing here in a fucking diaper?”
Fresh tears exploded down Sally’s face. She twisted helplessly, the mittens preventing her from covering anything. The loud crinkle of plastic filled the silence as her legs trembled. “I’m s-sorry… I’m not… I didn’t…” Her voice broke into ugly, hiccupping sobs, more drool spilling as the soap punishment continued.
Her sister chuckled and stepped closer, patting Sally’s head. “She’s adjusting after her third DUI. This is night one of her years-long regression. You should have seen the nappy change earlier—poor thing had a full accident already. Wiped her front to back just like the shirt says. She cried the whole time.”
Sally let out a broken wail, face burning crimson as the words sank in. The diaper crinkled again as her knees buckled slightly. “Please… stop…” she whimpered, voice tiny and destroyed, utterly exposed in front of the ex she had once scorned.
