Link smiled. “You know, college and work left me with no free time. I am glad that I can go home and...” He trailed off. It had been months since he did something for fun and with all the freedom he had now, he didn’t know what to do.
He reached for the box in Daphne’s hands. “Here, let me carry it for you.” His tone was gentle but there was a hint of sadness. Spending a long time away from his friends made Link feel that he wasn’t part of the group anymore. “I was thinking about doing a movie night with everyone at home. Any thoughts?”

He didn’t talk much to Twi. Part of that was because yes, the other male had been gone for college and seemed to be rather busy with schoolwork whenever he was around, but the other part of it was just because Loqi never really made that much of an attempt to spend time with him. It was awful, truly… but he was too used to people up and abandoning him to really try to reach out to others. Majora, Zelda, Sheik… and now Farren, though the last name on the list was rather reluctant about actually being involved in his life.
Still. It was more than what Loqi had over the past few years. And… while he was so very happy and so very grateful, having that many people in his life terrified him. Growing close to someone would just make it that much worse when they finally walked out of his life.
As far as Loqi knew, everyone else shared the same mindset. As far as he knew, he didn’t mean much of anything to Lycus. To Logan. To Daphne or Helena, and certainly not to Twi. So to have him come up– to have him say that he appreciated his friendship–
“Oh.” It was hardly an adequate response, but Loqi honestly couldn’t think of anything else to say. He blinked and did his best to ignore the sudden dampness in his gaze before smiling. “Thanks Twi… I… I appreciate your friendship, too.”

He had no idea how he ended up there. Everything was strange and confusing and he could feel the stares directed at him. Link turned around to see who was talking to him. “It’s not a costume...” Well, it seemed that nobody knew who he was in that place. “Do you know how can I return to Hyrule?”

Her crimson eyes traveled from the sky curiously and back to her partner as he spoke. To know hear that the purpose was unknown shouldn’t have surprised Midna but it left her with more questions that would never be asked. She was too proud to come off as ignorant despite that being the truth. The concept of night and day weren’t foreign but they were strange to see happening right in front of her. The moon would slowly dip past the horizon eventually and the sun would take its place in the sky afterwards. It was admittedly breathtaking at times.
“All I’ve ever known were the black clouds and yellow sky.” She spoke softly before breaking their eye contact. “I guess I won’t ever understand that sadness….Other than in twilight, have you ever seen a sky without stars?”
He searched for something in his memory, but no avail. “Not really, only when there’s a storm and the clouds are hiding them. But the stars are always there and have been for ages." His eyes widened when he emphasized the word. Link returned to his stargazing, trying to clear his mind of his worries so he could rest, at least for a while.
“But do you like the sky from where you come from?” His question broke the brief silence between them. Link had a handful of questions about her realm, but was afraid that it would be considered as prying. He couldn’t help himself, all he knew was Ordon Village and countless times he daydreamed about what waited for him outside the gate.
