There were once three animals who were travelling along a lonely, winding road at midnight twilight. In time, the animals reached a river too deep to wade across and too dangerous to swim across, however these critters were learned in the ways of adorableness and coerced a hooded figure to take them across the robe. However, this figure was Death.

And Death spoke to them. He promised them a ride across the river so long as the feline would have to take twice as many trips as the rest. The animals voted, and as the votes turned out two to one, the feline was forced to ride a second time with Death. 

In due time, the three critters separated and, each for their own destination.

The peacock went back to his peacock compound and found his family involved in a civil war with the rest of the peacocks. He enlisted in the military and died in battle.

And so Death took the first animal for his own.

The lionwhateverthing went home, and fell in love with a beautiful ocelot. However, this ocelot he fell in love with rejected him, as she was unsure of his species and felt the relationship to be unstable. The lionwhateverthing was heartbroken and took his own life.

And so Death took the second animal for his own.

Death searched many years to be reunited with the feline, as they had grown an emotional bond on their second trip across the stream, but it was not until many years later he found the feline and they greeted each other as old friends. The feline had reciprocating feelings after their trip and they two soon wed, and departed this life as equals.

My favorite character in this game is Happy Loofah.
