Haha, I think I’d remember if my grandmother was a goddess, that means i’d be some kind of demigod, plus I’m fairly sure I’d remember if I had a kid! I haven’t ever had a real romantic relationship, so its not like I could . have a kid! Well, I guess taking care of my younger self is an exception but that’s different.

(She squints, she knows this voice, knows this person, but her mind blanks on any sort of name. She knows the crawl beneath her skin, knows the symphony of shudders ready to play in her gut, but she doesn't have a damn clue where they're coming from.)

(She pulls out a cellphone from seemingly nowhere and gets ready to type, before looking up expectantly. She saw this hack somewhere.)

Lady Death. [Her name comes out harsh.] You don't remember me...?

(She acts as if she doesn't hear the question, it goes in one ear and out the other at the sheer relief that she's finally finding the right people.)

Okay, that means I've found one'a you! That's definitely what I was going to do after some people got here actually, find- or, uh, make? Some Gods? Y'know, 'cause! Well, I thought it was... Have you been around? It's really cool here, lots of funny little patches of fuckery, like there's a country? And it's totally an illusion! And it's a pit when you get real close, it looks really awesome. Or, uh. Y'know, stuff like that!

Lady Death? I- Don't really know yet. It is.. really quiet. Something's very different here, but I haven't had much of a chance to check- I've been helping a wayward piglin. I think I'm okay though, although I can't reach the server files for some reason. Working on that. I haven't... Been able to contact exe for some reason though. I was gonna ask him about piglin culture but- I can't seem to message him. Have you seen him? Are you alright?

Well, I’m glad to know you’re okay. I’m finishing getting this piglin settled- y’know he reminds me of Techno quite a bit for some reason I can’t place- and then I’m going to try to reach out to the others, I think.

Please, don’t overexert yourself. Especially considering... whatever is happening around here. Maybe after we figure things out, we can talk about what we’ve both seen recently? I too had a strange few days in between when I left the server and when I stepped back in.

Cawww. Cawwwwwww.

Vines have grown over the statue. It hasn't been long; only a few months, perhaps. Still, the small limbo has fallen into immense disrepair. Thorn bushes with dying leaves hanging from the branches, large sticks scattered everywhere, dark gray clouds that hang lazily in the air. And, of course, the crows. They gather on the arms of the statue, the wide brim of the hat. They ruffle their feathers and sing as the preside over the goddess's limbo. They're waiting. Very patiently.

A crow flutters down from the statue, its dark black wings gleaming. It lands on the goddess's body. Her chest moves up and down slowly. The crow hops about in front of her face. He caws a few times, reporting back her status to the rest of his murder. He hops away, chirping and whistling.

The goddess's eyelashes move.

All of the crows lean forward. Her chest hasn't interrupted its slow pattern; she must be still asleep, she must be.

Her head begins to rise.

Death has come back to life.
