Out of my comfort zone and doing some coloring, reminding myself a sketchbook is to experiment.

The pencil has a mind of its own…

I can’t believe how much joy I get out of sketching on paper, don’t get me wrong, I love digital and its advantages but there is something about drawing marks on paper that feels different. Not “real or better”, just beautiful.

Since I started a new sketchbook, I’ve wanted to try sketching more, post more.

I rarely ink my sketches, I never have that in mind but I try my best, it’s a sketch after all. It’s supposed to be fun right.

I’m finding inking on paper more relaxing than inking on procreate, it’s making me want to print out my sketches and scan them later. It’d be a whole new nice headache 😅

Coloring on paper is freeing, it’s like mistakes are non existent and part of the composition, the infinite palette becomes limited by your imagination.

Sea creatures are interesting, makes me wonder how many amazing creatures live in the deepest of our oceans, can’t just not imagine what’s inside. How dangerous or passive they can be, maybe it’s for the best…

These last few days have taught me, I need to draw more faces and human like bodies.

Sketching on paper is fun, unable to correct mistakes is fun.
