After a heart-to-heart with my sewing machine, we came to an agreement about leather. These small bags and pouches are backed by sturdy black fabric. It looks really good with the light color leather. I burned designs onto the bags and added stones and wood for the cords. Find ‘em in my Etsy shop.

Like many, I suspect, my creative mojo has been very low lately. Finally, this week I felt like making something pretty again, so leather earrings! These will be added to my collection on my website once proper photos are taken.

Black bears are a favorite animal of mine. It’s a privilege to get to create art with their image. This is a wood burn on poplar available on my website.

Outside custom pet portraits, this is my favorite project to date. The image can have many meanings. What do you think?
