The Easiest Way I Learned Percentages (Using a Simple 10×10 Grid)
I struggled with percentages for years… until I tried visual percentage grids.
A 10×10 grid (100 little squares) suddenly made everything click:
Shade 25 squares → 25%
Shade 67 squares → 67%
Shade 42 squares → 42%
It’s honestly the simplest way to understand percentages, especially for Grade 6 students. Shading percentages, percent-of-100 worksheets, and visual percent models make the whole idea feel real instead of just math on paper.
