Usually, Hayley was good at ignoring someone and just brushing them off. Never letting anyone get to her. However, Amber’s incessant questioning had become annoying. Hayley gave the other a glare, the frustration evident on her face. “Or I can just say that I saw you hop in a car and book it out of here. I’m sure coach would love to hear about what you actually do during his class.”
Amber wasn’t able to stop the small pout from forming on her face, giving the girl a fake hurt look. All she wanted was to not run laps, why was this so difficult? “What did I do to you to make you hate me so much? Did I bump into you in the hallway or something?”
