Hello, @adobestudents, How are you lately?? Let’s talk about values. Really good and clear value composition is one of the main reasons why our eyes land on a certain part of an artwork. It is important in guiding the viewer on where you want their eyes to go - controlling them without making it obvious. Ha! The heart of a good composition is getting the audience to look at what you want and to experience it the way you want without them sensing that they are being guided. One way to do that is by the use of contrast. When there is contrast, we can recognize what is the most important part of an image. Because our eyes are drawn to high contrasts area repeatedly. So as an artist, we need to learn the tools on how to make the viewer experience what we want through composition.
