I tell myself sometimes, to dream a little smaller. So that if it all comes to nothing, I will have fallen down one stair; and it won't hurt so much. It never hurts much because at one stair high, I'm pretty much numb. It feels like nothing- I'm pretty sure that's what not living feels like. And I remind myself now, that I didn't forgo suicide, only to live numb. I lived because I wanted to live wild; go all out! And I'm putting myself on the line, I know, merely by wanting this; but like many other things I need to teach myself to not settle for, I'll be damned if I start the rest of my life by settling for a shitty GPA that's way less than what I know I can achieve.
