                   UNCERTAIN  THOUGH  HE  IS  THAT  SHE  ’ DESERVES ’  IT  ,  she  is  rather  difficult  to  deny ,  and  not  only  because  he  suspects  she  might  actually  made  good  on  one  of  her  many  threats  to  him  .  lips  press together  ,  one  finger  tapping  against  pursed  lips  ,  like  he  might  need  to  consider  it  —————  as  he  might  truly  have  it  in  him  to  deny  her !  —————  before  gracing  her  with  a  sly  grin  .    ❛    AND  WHAT  WILL  I  RECEIVE  IT  I  DO  ?    ❜

          green  gaze  flits  towards  him,  then  up  into  her  head.  lips  twitching  as  if  she  were  to  smile  in  response,  shaking  herself  away  from  the  thoughts.  a  marblesque  facade  cracking  but  not  yet  crumbling.    ❝  you  say  if  as  if  you  could  deny  me.  ❞    tucking  the  metal  book-mark  into  the  book,  she  leans  forward,  into  his  personal  space,  stiletto  nails  clicking  impatient  rhythms  against  his  coffee  table.  ❝  what  do  you  want?  i  am  most  intrigued  by  what  you  would  take,  loki.  you  surely  haven’t  lost  enough  braincells  to  remember  that  i’m  indefinitely  at  your  whims.  my  mistress  and  her  new  wife  have  yet  to  call  me  back  and  i’ve  nothing  to  do.  ❞  her  sarcasm  would  end  her  life  one  day,  of  this  she  was  sure.  but  what  life  of  hers  wouldn’t  be  half  lived?

❛  AFRAID  ?  ❜  mouth  curls  up  in  a  devilish  smile  ,  though  there  is  no  edge  to  it  .  ❛  hardly  !  unless  you  mean  to  ask  if  i’m  afraid  to  watch  you  embarrass  yourself  by  failing  spectacularly  ,  in  which  case  ,  i  am  terribly  fearful  for  you  .  ❜  his  tone  is  heavily  affected  ,  one  hand  pressed  delicately  to  his  chest  .  DESPITE  HIS  WORDS  ,  HIS  TRUST  IN  HER  IS  IMPLICIT  ——  she  alone  rivals  him  in  her  skills  in  the  magical  arts  .  if  anyone  can  cast  this  spell  ,  it’s  her  .

he  crosses  closer  to  her  ,  his  expression  suddenly  grave  .  ❛  YOU  ARE  CERTAIN  ABOUT  THIS  ?  we  both  know  what  happens  should  this  spell  fail  .  ❜

           propped  open,  the  book  of  spells  stolen  from  the  norns  waits  as  painted  lips  twist  into  a  mimicry  of  his  smile.  seiðr  flowing  like  blood as  she  mouths  the  spell,  unspoken  words  as,  green  eyes  glint  with  half-madness  as  soft  jests  still  to  seriousness.
