Work was a disaster area with all the crap going on right now. Guess that was what happened when you shoved the NYPD and GCPD in one building together and told them to play nice. Dick ducked out of the chaos, files for one of his cases in hand. A couple different groups of people raiding places in animal masks. He hadnβt found them yet, but he was sure with a little help, he could. Thankfully, he ran into one of the other detectives in the hallway- well, okay, he wasnβt sure if she was actually a detective or if she just helped them from the inside. Either wayβ¦ he could really use the help,Β βHey, uh,β he shook the files he had,Β βDetective Grayson,β he introduced himself,Β βI know it seems like Iβm normally a recluse or I only work with the Commissioner and never need help, but the truth is, these guys in cheesy animal masks are really starting to piss me off. I could use an extra pair of eyes on this,β
agitation seeped through her bones as she gazed down at the case file of one of gothamβs most notorious criminals. this had been an ongoing case for weeks now. everything was leading to dead ends. helena slapped the file closed, cursing under her breath. she needed to step away from her desk and get some air --- maybe something would come to her. the brunette was caught off guard by a man whom she had not seen before --- OR HAD SHE? he looked oddly familiar. detective grayson . . blue hues widened in utter surprise. helena wasnβt listening to much of what he was saying. finally she had stumbled upon another person from her past life. however, it was clear that dick had no idea who she was --- he was also younger looking.Β βi-i know you. oh thank god youβre alive..β arms wrapped around the manβs neck as she pulled him in for a hug.Β
