Someone stop me before I make a Nagini blog. I’m about to go see the second film again -- and my heart is just breaking for her. She lost her only friend & feels so alone with the appending doom of becoming a snake permanently.

Quiet time could only be found in the young witch’s apartment when Queenie was out & about running errands. In this quiet time Tina could find herself able to catch up on household tasks. Or in this particular situation able to write a letter she’s left abandoned & hardly attempted to be written on her desk. 

With a soft creak from the chair, nimble fingers were found wrapping around a quill & with it brought a soft hum of thought. Truth was she wasn’t sure how to begin the letter. Finding the context for it was not an issue, it was simply how to go about the greeting.

Dear Mr. Scamander,

I hope that this letter finds you safely and in good health. I also hope all has been well in England for you, it’s getting much colder here in New York now. I cannot imagine how cold it must be there.

How has your creatures been? I assume you’ve been keeping a closer eye on them ever since their previous escape? To be quite frank, I wish I could of met more of your fascinating creatures. Your dedication in their care is very admirable.

Tina paused in her writing as she looked over to the paper bag with Mr. Kowalski’s bakery logo on it. Did she want to mention it? Surely he’d like to know. She began again.

There’s a new bakery nearby, i’m sure you know who’s it is. Mr. Kowalski finally opened his own. The most peculiar thing is the breads and pastries are shaped just like your creatures. For a no-maj who should have been obliviated he still remembered what the magical creatures we encountered looked like. However, that is a long story. In regards to magical creatures, how is your book coming along?

Days off were rare & quite far between. Not only was this because of how tedious the witch’s workplace could be but it’s also because Tina didn’t particularly care for much spare time anyway. 

However, Queenie insisted that she should take some time away from work to visit a new bakery she’s been very fond of. The elder sister didn’t know much of the where-abouts of this bakery her sister so cheerily mentioned. It also didn’t help Tina’s temptation to decline the younger’s offer when Queenie also works in Macusa. Queenie easily convinced them to encourage Tina to take some time off. Now she was found shrugging on her favorite coat & walking out the door in tow of her beaming younger sister.

It’s not that the eldest sibling hated bakeries -- no quite on the contrary -- Tina loves sweets & bread. She was even almost fully convinced it wasn’t such a bad outing until the pair arrived at said bakery. Now Tina could only feel the churn of her stomach as Queenie pushed past to greet the owner. 

❝ Queenie... Mercy Lewis, please don’t tell me -- ❞ The witch stopped herself, dark eyes taking in the sight of peculiar creature shaped pastries & Mr. Kowalski’s knowing expression.  ❝ But he was -- we witnessed -- Queenie, explain. ❞
