writing up hazel's bio today, prepare for emotions

it took forever but i did it

caleb shrugs. "makes sense, i guess. so when is the interview? any idea if you've got competition for the position? because i'm more than happy to help you out if there is." he grins at her. even if in that moment he doesn't know how he'd help tip the scales in her direction, he'd figure something out to make any other potential interviewees looks subpar in comparison.

"you will not help." bailey told him pointedly. not that he was serious, but she was willing to play along. she occilated between being nervous she'd blow it and perfectly confident in her skills. the nerves really came from worrying she'd be too confident. "i assume there's other applicants, but those other applicants aren't me." she did have one hang up and it wasn't something she needed her brother's help with, but she wouldn't turn it down if he wanted to help. she was running out of time. "it's on monday. i have a blazer and pants, but no shirt. i need a shirt, this is not a blazer and no shirt kind of establishment."

dizzy never asked for anybody to promote or praise her work, but whenever she heard it she felt giddy. back on the isle, in the salon, most people just paid what they could and left. so the praise and conversations on the isle had been a culture shock at first. evie had been such a kind mentor to her, letting her live in her home for a time as well. the question from blair about wanting an outfit had brought her mind back to reality though. it certainly caught her off guard, but she smiled. "i would love to, but tell me," she paused, turning to grab a notebook from a nearby drawer. "let me know what you'd like and what for. i'll write it down."

as soon as she was prompted blair started listing upcoming events for her. the end of spring, beginning of summer was always so busy. "so coming up i have: a charity gala for the ballet company, a ribbon cutting and a formal dinner in corona." blair had more coming up, but those were events that she either already had outfits for, or her usual stylists were already booked. "for the gala, it needs to be like formal and maybe fairy like, the ribbon cutting can be more like formal-casual, and the dinner in corona is during the flower festival so that's really the theme." she was glad that dizzy was willing to potentially dress her. she took a breath when she stopped with the dress codes. "do any of those stand out to you? the gala is the soonest, but if you can't make that turn around it's alright."
