she reels in embarrassment, ignoring all plans to brush off her quick jab of his arm. she just thought it would be like- a little pinch, or maybe he wouldn’t feel it at all since he has so much electricity in him already !! good going, valentine, you’re gonna break him and you haven’t even told him your name. she raises her hands in defense, red in the face.
– “ ah !! i’m sorry, i knew you were sparky but i didn’t know you were that
sparky and i thought you probably wouldn’t even notice since you
already have so much electricity in you !! “
To be honest, the other was right. Like a walking battery, Denki stored power, releasing it when he needed, generating it when required, et cetera. But that meant with all this stored electricity, something like a little static shock was the equivalent of sticking a fork in a wall socket. Good thing he’d been training to withstand higher voltages.
Blinking and rubbing at his nose, faintly burning as his hair stands on end somewhat, the student tried his best to compose himself, a smile pushing through.
“Its--! It’s okay! I uh, YEAH, I’ve got a lot in me but like, it’s also easy for you to do that...” Like grabbing an electrical wire from the ground, he hopes the shock was contained to him, which judging by her reaction it was safe to say he got most of the zap.
“Hey wait-- Are you... new? Sorry if you aren’t, I’m honestly real bad at paying attention to things-- I’m Denki! You can call me Kaminari though, unless you prefer Denki?” Rambling. You are rambling now. Shut up. Simply grinning, the boy holds out his hand, but keeps in mind sometimes people don’t really like handshakes. Or sometimes people are too scared to get electrocuted. Probably the latter.
