“I can’t believe you’re only 15.”

Feels surreal to think about having been on this website for over 10 years and growing up so fast on it. Now I tell stories of adult men sending me dick pics and having to hide my phone screen while I was in the theater room as a 17 year old in high school and we laugh because it hurts and we can all relate and what else are we supposed to do?

Anyway. I’m 26 and I live in Texas now. My fiancé and I have lived 1100 miles apart for the last year and a half, but tomorrow he’s moving here. We’re getting married in five months in our dream destination, just the two of us. I learned how to pole dance and it feels like flying. Our cat died in April and I was out of town. I have a job I’m good at. They sent me to Portugal last year. I have an apartment that gets beautiful morning light and overlooks the city skyline. I have friends who encourage me to do all of the things I missed out on in adolescence (right now that means watching the Twilight movies for the first time). I came out as bisexual. I was diagnosed with autism. My sister is my best friend, something younger me would never have expected. I finally feel like I know who I am.
