reunited and it feels so good.
➏ — For such a big world, this city was indeed small in comparison. Vi had made a few reappearances here in Hive, things never seemed to change, except this time around. The enforcer was already familiar with the city and each of its sectors, easily taking strolls to find some crime that wasn’t being handled by the law enforcement of the city.
It was this particular time she had encountered a man who tried to steal a woman’s purse but luckily Vi had chased him down, with her own bare fists she single-handedly taken care of the issue. “Hah! try and run faster, bucko!” she laughed obnoxiously, twirling the purse strap on her pointer finger.
Lilac hues did however catch glimpse of a familiar top hat, a wider grin spreading on the pinkettes face as she darted towards. Partner in crime and Boss lady, It was a surprise to see Caitlyn once again in this cities threshold. Little did Vi know, it wasn’t the same Cait she knew in her past history with the city…oh how time and dimensions was a complicated thing. “Oi! Cupcake, didn’t think they’d drag you back!” Out of her comforts, an arm reached around the Sheriffs waist, yanking her towards her partner.
— { ✖ } — ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ ʜᴀᴅ ᴛʜᴇʀᴇ ʙᴇᴇɴ ᴅᴏᴜʙᴛ in her mind that Vi would ever disobey orders when left to her own devices. It had taken her colleagues nearly a year until they could muster up the courage to fully trust her. But now, seeing her own partner in action wrangle up a petty thief, was more than satisfactory in Caitlyn’s mind. There had been something about her, when she had first met her face to face; that relentless drive, that unyielding fire in her eyes. Caitlyn smiled as she walked over to congratulate her. “A wonderful job, Vi.” she said. “Why, it’s almost as if I don’t--”
Eyes widened slightly as she felt herself being jerked to the side. Her hips knocked against a part of Vi’s upper thigh and for a split second she felt a bit...startled. Now this was certainly...out of the ordinary. Whatever was the reason? Her eyes looked down at Vi’s hold over her, though just looking certainly wasn’t getting her anywhere. “My, what unusual confidence...--”
“--And apparently that arrogance has gotten to your head as well.” With a brusque flick of her wrist, Caitlyn had swatted her partner’s hand away and snatched the purse from Vi’s armored grasp. Her soft voice had now returned to its usual cold and curt tone: the one Vi knew so well. With the lost item in her possession, her poised features returned -- she was back to business now. “I’ve never been here before, and you know that. Now let’s pay a visit to the authorities and turn this in. We might as well start working for them now.” And she was already on her way, as if nothing had ever happened.
