WOW I AM SO LATE ON THIS I APOLOGIZE

anyways, im haley again and here is my pure cinnamon roll who can do no wrong; Hestia Jones. 

Here are some random headcanons I have for her: 

 Hestia is a Capricorn, born on 12/21/58

She is a medi witch and works primarily in st. mungo’s as a trauma healer but also works with regular patients time to time

Hestia was in an accident as a child which caused her to have a scar that’s on her face, it’s pretty big. She also has a damaged spine which stunted her growth (she is 4′11″). 

Due to her scar and frail body size, she was picked on terribly in school and had a hard time making friends. 

“hm?” lily pressed her lips together to keep her gasp of pain inside as her lower body seemed to tighten and squeeze. her grimace was difficult to hide, especially as the pain intensified and seemed to crescendo. “i’m fine- i’m fine!” she said quickly, dropping her head back as the pain seemed to crest and then fall. “it’s nothing to worry about.” if she said it enough, it would be true. 

Hestia’s eyes went wide as she saw the pain in the woman next to her. “Lily right? Can I ask your permission to help you?” she held out her hands, not touching the other female’s body but hovering. “I think you’re having contractions- possibly false ones or what’s called Braxton Hicks contractions. How far along are you? I’m going to guess 7 or 8 months but I won’t assume for your sake.”

Nervous fingers adjust his tie carefully, loosening it as he studies her carefully, slight worry ( that he can’t himself distinguish ) playing in electric blue eyes. “You should hide,” he says, hands digging into his pockets, face revealing no emotions, as if he’s made of stone. “So? Let them find me. I’m not very nice either.”

“Hide? I.. did for a while. I realized I can’t though. Someone needs to be hear to heal people.” Hestia felt partially responsible for the well being for the hostages that were trapped. She had the ability to help anyone and was willing to risk her life  to do so. “Amycus, I know I’ve only known you through our visits but you’re a kind man- I know you can handle yourself I just- I worry.” she placed a hand on his bicep, “Just stay safe, please.”

“To hell with that,” she hissed back between her teeth, looking back at the girl that had latched onto her while they crouched behind a cabinet full of medical supplies. “They’re already not being nice. 

Are we just supposed to lie down and take it? What’s that going to tell them?”

“We don’t want to stick out- become one of the causalities of this damned war.” her eyes become more intense as she watched masked people walk past their hiding space. 

He didn’t answer her for a moment, his gaze turned away as he quickly flipped through the contents of the file to skim read. “I’m always grumpy darling.”

He’d been told it enough times and he didn’t really care enough to stop spreading the words. It worked for him anyway. People didn’t bother someone who was always grumpy.

“What do you have to be grumpy about?” she questioned. She didn’t want to assume or generalize too intensely but she assumed he had it going pretty good. 

“Alastor, where do you need me? I heard this was quite a dangerous mission and thought I’d be here on call just in case.”

“I wasn’t expecting to see you- I um, how are you doing?”

                a cigarette rests between bruised lips, and he takes a long blow as she enters the hospital room, smoke filling the air. he’s not exactly EAGER to be there, but he also has work tomorrow, and showing up UNRECOGNIZABLE isn’t going to fly. unfortunately. so he’ll need someone to make him look like himself again, rather than the fucked up mess he is right now. which is why he finds himself waiting for the one medic he currently… almost trusts. though that’s unfortunate for the man in the room next to him — because amycus has heard every word, and has already decided that a certain someone will not live to see the sun rise again. an easy choice to make, for a man like him.              electric blue eyes watch her in silence, and he stubbornly refuses to put out his cigarette. when she speaks, a questioning glare appears in his gaze. “progress?” he questions, head tilting to the side, looking somewhat contemplative as he mulls her words over. suppose not dying is good progress. though being beaten to a pulp oddly enough doesn’t seem all that progressive to him. he grunts, shrugging in annoyance as he gives her a long look. “arm’s all healed up since last time. face’s a different story.”

As soon as she strolled in, a haze of smoke hit her. Hestia’s eyes quinted at Amycus and specifically the cigarette in his hand. “I hate to be a drag but cigarettes aren’t allowed here, but of course you know that.” she said this with a smile, never wanting to seem the like the stern nurses that seemed to work at St. Mungo’s. The petite blonde observes him for a moment longer before moving closer. “For what you got yourself into, I’d say your face is doing a lot better than expected.” she felt a sudden slight flush come over her cheeks as she spoke. She had to stay professional which  meant never flirting or having a relationship with a patient but, something about Amycus drew Hestia to him. 

Her soft amber eyes looked into his for a moment before she moved to look at the charts in her hands again. “You look a lot better than other patients- I mean- with how long you’ve had to heal and the impact that caused your injury.” She cleared her throat before placing the papers on a nearby desk. “May I check your vitals again? I just want to make sure you’re doing okay.”

❝Do you know what shut the fuck up means?❞ Hestia heard from a patient- her mouth immediately shut and she walked out of the room, in disbelief that someone would say that. She walked into Amycus’ room, her face completely red. “How.. are you feeling? I see your making great progress.”
