helix peered into the container, eyeing the contents. she’d never seen anything like the ‘treats’ in front of her before. “caramel onions? so... you give them to someone and they eat them thinking they’re... caramel apples?” she asked slowly.

Ronnie scrunched up his forehead and laughed at her words. “I think autocorrect is just being stupid. It’s weird. It helps like maybe 25% of the time to be honest. helix frowned at the phone. she didn’t understand this modern technology business at all. she only looked up when the boy complimented her, unsure how to respond. was this a trick? “...are you flirting with me?” she asked, eyes narrowed.

“Doll clothes?” she repeated, scrunching up her nose a little as she did so. “I never had any dolls growing up. Mom couldn’t stand them.” she replied casually. Addie didn’t seem to mind though, she preferred getting dirty as opposed to playing with dolls anyway.
helix quelled the offence she felt at the girl’s expression. “mine was the opposite. she loves them. i have plenty.” though her collection was only partially due to her mother. she loved dolls because they’d helped her feel less lonely. “and the sewing keeps me busy.”
