{{ ☘ }} — 𝓘t had been a blatant mistake to blurt out such a confession, and Seamus had surely suffered for it as he silently watched his best mate process what he’d said. A torturous observation, leaving him to chew the inside of his cheek as he braced himself for whatever rejection was about to come his way.

                    Then Dean was speaking, and right as Seamus was beginning to open his own mouth to either apologize profusely or simply pretend to be joking -

                    Dean kissed him. Without any warning or indication that he was about to do so, he’d stopped himself mid-sentence and just... kissed him.

                    The rest was surprisingly easy, as if Seamus wasn’t in control of anything at all, driven on pure instinct and an unrelenting desire to kiss back. Grabbing a hold onto the collar of Dean’s shirt, he pressed his mouth back with a force nothing short of eager, years worth of pent-up yearning finally bursting forward.

          “Why is it I’m constantly surrounded by idiotic boys?” Hermione grumbled, watching as three third year Gryffindors tried to float each other over the lake, presumably to throw things at the giant squid without getting hurt. “Oi!” She called out, “You three come back here, you’re all getting detentions for this!” Taking a step back, she bumped into Seamus, “Oh! Sorry, I didn’t see you there!” 

{{ ☘ }} — 𝓦atching the trio of young, trouble making Gryffindors at the lake brought a smile to Seamus’ face. They reminded him of himself, mostly, during a time when he was only thirteen, too, carefree in a world that had yet to face the dark magic that had plagued him for the better part of three years. He was happy they wouldn’t have to face the hardships that he did.

                    Caught up in observing those third years, he had failed to hear the calling of a familiar, female voice. Not until the owner of said voice had backed up right into him, and he was effectively snapped out of his trance-like state.

{{ ☘ }} — 𝓘t felt as if he’d been punched in the stomach. All the air left his lungs, rendering him physically sick, and of all the emotions that simultaneously ran through his head, it was anger that fueled his denial.
