I have no idea why it works, but it does. Someone who used to work in a cardiologist’s office told me it acts as a sort of “reset button.” I’ve tried it a few times and every time, my heart rate has slowed to normal. It doesn’t work when my heart is just beating super heavily or loud, but it helps when things are getting a bit too speedy.
