However, after a bit of spying, they still seem capable of speech... perhaps they can be reasoned with to allow strangers to pass through at will?

While you were preoccupied, it seems a large group of large, threatening underlinings has invaded your hive! Fortunately, they seem to have become preoccupied... with a photograph of a piece of cake. You're not sure if you remember even owning such a picture; they might have just brought it with them. Nevertheless, they seem to be drooling over it; perhaps you could get rid of them if you make one and lure them away from your property.

Why did the entire population have to be zealots? As you and others like you are connected to their messiah, come to deliver them to the holy secrets of their ancestors, they won't leave you alone. It's become near impossible to do any proper investigation with them harassing you every step of the way.
