I thought to myself about how your writing then isn’t exactly similar to your writing now, but it’s still similar enough that maybe you aren’t using ai after all. Not to mention how the fanfic was published in 2024, and i remember how ai writing used to be back then, and how it’s writing style wasn’t exactly similar to how yours was.

However, when i saw that anon’s post and rechecked your account, i tried to remember when exactly in 2024 your first fanfic was made, and i realized that i never actually checked the exact date/month. I only saw the year, and the month is very important, because if that fanfic had been posted around early 2024, then the possibility of it being ai isn’t impossible but less likely. However, if it was made around late 2024, then the possibility increases.

So i went back to check, and sure enough, you published that fanfic in December 2024.

Still, i didn’t want to falsely assume anything about anyone, so i decided to not only read this fanfic this time, but also read your other stuff that was posted around that time. I read about 3-4 fanfics that you wrote in December 2024, and i noticed some things that made me feel like it might be ai.

As i mentioned before, in my previous semester in college, i was unfortunately forced to take an AI course. One of the things we studied was how AI writing changed over the years, so this writing style isn’t unfamiliar to me. I’m not saying i’m 100% certain this is ai. I can’t 100% prove that just by reading, but still, these all seem really similar to late 2024 GPT writing in my opinion.

Every single fic opens the EXACT same way with a weather description:

“night had fallen”

“biting winter wind”

“gray, heavy sky”

And multiple of the fics repeated a specific wording of how the sky was a mix of pink and orange, which is very suspicious for such a specific description of the weather to be repeated in multiple fanfics, those fanfics being ones you wrote only 1-3 days apart. Surely you would’ve remembered/noticed that you already used that specific description before.

The characters barely have different voices/personalities either. They all talk the EXACT same, ALMOST (emphasis on almost) word for word, because the scenarios in all the fics are very similar. For example, they all reassure the reader in almost identical ways:

“I’ll always be here.”

“I’m not going anywhere.”

“You don’t have to worry.”

“It’s my job to take care of you.”

Real writing that’s been written by a human can absolutely have recurring dialogue or habits, but when specific phrasing is used across multiple stories, it starts to flatten the supposedly “different” characters into one. This is odd for me personally, especially because you’re writing about real people. If they were fictional characters, i’d understand why someone might write them similarly in fanfics, because these characters might come from the same show/movie/book/etc., so they’d all be written by the same author and i could see how that’d possibly make them similar. But these are real individuals.

The Minji and Hanni stories especially feel like the exact same story rewritten with different characters.

There’s also a shit ton of “bridge sentences” that are extremely overused and repeated across all of the fics. They’re also all written in a way that doesn’t really move the story forward, like:

“Time seemed to slow down.”

“No more words were needed.”

“Everything had been said.”

“Sometimes, the simplest gestures spoke more than a thousand words.”

“In that quiet yet powerful moment”

These are very generalized, almost “universal” statements that GPT models back in 2024 and even now often use to transition between scenes.

There are even weirdly ai-ish phrases like:

“her voice firmly soft”

“a smile almost teeming with tears”

“feline features betraying a hint of concern”

“As though she’d leaped into an abyss”

I also noticed an unnecessary overuse of the phrase “as if,” and it repeats in all of the fanfics, which is very odd, like:

“as if she were halfway elsewhere”

“as if searching for an answer”

“as though she’d leaped into an abyss”

GPT models commonly do this.

One or two of these wouldn’t mean anything, but seeing the same structure, wording, pacing, and sentence patterns across multiple fics is what makes me think your work might’ve been AI-assisted.

I’d like to emphasize the same WORDING across multiple fics. That’s insane to me, tbh. What do you mean the narration and characters have repeated similar things in different fanfics that you’ve written? Not to mention how those things aren’t just mentioned in almost all of those fics, but they’re also overused in all of them.

When i went to read your more recent works, i felt like it might also be ai or ai-assisted. I noticed that the way your more recent fanfics are written is in an overexplained manner. Everything is re-explained multiple times when it’s not needed, and information is too precise and spoon-fed, which is something ai tends to do. It doesn’t want any misunderstandings, so it overexplains wayyy beyond what’s necessary, almost as if spoon-feeding the reader the information, whereas a real writer wouldn’t usually do that because they understand that they don’t need to panicly overexplain. They know that the reader will figure it out without needing to be spoon-fed the info.

Like i explained in my last repost, a format such as “it’s not because of A, it’s because of B” or “it’s not A, it’s not B, it’s C” is an instant dead giveaway of ai, especially if it’s overused. And i noticed that it is HEAVILY overused in multiple of your fics, not just one.

Here are what i’ll assume is only about 10% of the MANY that i noticed:

“not because she is trying, not because she is performing”

“not because light is asking to be looked at, but because that’s simply what light does.”

“not because they were explicitly condemned, but because they were invisible.”

“The smile that happens is not the polished one.

It's not the competition smile or the interview smile or even the general-public smile that she has ready all the time, that particular warmth she turns on easily because it is real warmth but it's also managed. The smile that happens is the one underneath all of those ones.”

“Not in the sense of a dramatic revelation, not in the sense of a sleepless night staring at the ceiling trying to figure out what it meant. Just in the sense of: there it is, it's there, it's always been there.”

“not catastrophically, not with wreckage everyone has to step around for years, but with this complicated unraveling”

You also keep extremely overusing the phrase “in the way” in multiple fics, which again is another ai giveaway if it’s extremely overused, which it is. Here is just a small example of the many that i found:

“in the way she thinks about most things — methodically, without excessive emotion”

“in the particular way that radar operates in high school”

“in the way that some people simply install themselves in your life”

“in the way most people do not find naturally”

Also, just the wording in your fanfics is a bit odd and very ai-ish, like:

“you exist in a companionable parallel quiet”

This is just one example of wording i find a bit odd for someone to just randomly think of. There’s wayyyyy more examples of odd phrasing like this all over your fanfics, but they’re literally EVERYWHERE in your fics that i couldn’t possibly put them all here. These are phrases that are so random and odd to use casually in a fanfic that has nothing to do with the thing mentioned, that it leads me to immediately believe it’s ai.

There’s also an overuse of em dashes and hyphens. Yes, real people use those. Yes, it’s proper grammar and NOT an indicator of ai if used properly. However, from what I’ve noticed, you tend to overuse them, which IS an indicator of ai. Maybe not on its own, but when combined with the other stuff that you’ve extremely overused in multiple of your fics, which are also extreme indicators of ai, all those things combined lead me to believe that you do in fact use ai in your work.

Now, i’m not some magical being who has the knowledge of the world in her hands, so i can’t say i’m definitely right, and i could possibly be wrong, i’m not someone who’s too stubborn to admit when I’ve wrongfully done something. But right now, from what i’ve seen so far, i’m convinced enough. So i personally will be staying far away from your blog since i don’t support ai at all, and i won’t risk supporting anyone who uses it.

From what i’ve seen so far, ai writers dont tend to use ai to write for big, pre-established fandoms because, when a fandom has already been strongly built on here, the people in that fandom are usually so quick to call out bs, such as ai "writers", alongside other things and debates. But when it comes to new fandoms, such as alysa liu’s, they feel more confident doing this because there’s a wayyy higher chance of getting away with it under a new tag where a strong community hasn’t been built yet. They know that, unlike other communities, this one won’t publicly call them out because it’s new and hasn’t had the time to grow yet.

The worst part is that, in new tags such as this one, it’s hard to call someone out because people will either A: not get together to spread awareness about why this is wrong and why this "writer" should be boycotted, or B: a bunch of people who have gotten so used to ai writing to the point where they cant spot it at all get together to disagree with you and say that this person isn’t using ai when they literally, very clearly, are.

They always try to use the excuse that "ai learned how to write by studying fanfiction, so ofc real people are gonna sound like ai coz ai stole from us", when that’s literally not even true.

Real writers dont SPAMMMM em dashes, they dont use them like 5+ times in one tiny paragraph. Real people dont always tend to use/spam hyphens SUPERRR often, like using them 15+ times in a 500 word short fic, especially for everyday words like long-term, part-time, wi-fi, e-mail, co-worker, etc.

Ai will also often say stuff like, "she felt helpless, lost, empty, (insert another synonym)." It uses like 8 synonyms to describe one feeling instead of just saying "she’s sad". And yeah, real writers do that too, but real writers dont overuse it. They tend to only do this when it’s an important scene or an important/deep emotion/moment for the story or characters, whereas ai will overuse it soooo many times throughout one fanfic and will use it for any and every scene and emotion when it’s literally not needed and just becomes too repetitive and annoying as the fic goes on.

Ai also tends to overuse the "it wasn’t Y, it wasn’t X, it wasn’t even Z, it was A" format a lot. It also overuses phrases that dont even make sense, like "she smelled like cinnamon, sadness, and past childhood regrets." What does that even mean? Ai often does this because it tries to sound poetic, but it just ends up sounding dumb or cringe.

It also tends to overuse dialogue such as: 

Person A: "Are you okay?"

Person B: "Define okay."

Person A: “That was scary…” 

Person B: “Define scary.”

It’s also, for some odd reason, obsessed with trying to make every line sound like a mic drop. For me personally, when it comes to this example, even if it’s not overused, i still personally take it as an instant ai giveaway because it always uses the same exact lines, and the "banter" never actually lasts. It’s just person A says something, person B responds with a one-liner, and that’s it. Every single time that the fanfic has a “banter” scene, the “banter”  ends on that one "mic drop" instead of having an actual back and forth between the characters at least once.

“You're unbelievable." "It's called survival."

"You're impossible." "I'm efficient."

"You planned this?" "I prepared."

”That's manipulative." "That's strategy."

Ai also tends to write every scene the except same way or mostly the exact same. It's always dialogue then an internal thought then a joke then an emotional moment then someone interrupts. And then it does the exact or almost the exact same thing again in the next scene. Real writers usually might mix things up, a real fic wouldn’t follow the EXACT same pacing and structure the ENTIRE time, some scenes might be mostly dialogue, some might be mostly description, some might be slower, and some might be faster. Even if they don’t switch up the scenes too much, there’ll still be some changes, even just slight ones, the ENTIRE fanfic wouldn’t be sectioned out and formatted the exact same.

the dialogue is also usually repetitive. With this kind of dialogue, it might not usually be every single conversation in the fic that follows it, but it’s still repetitive. They’re short little one-liner back and forth conversations, because it's the easiest way for ai to keep the story going. Real conversations have more variety than that.

"What?"

"Nothing."

"I’m thinking”

"That’s dangerous."

It also does this thing where it keeps recycling the exact same reactions every few paragraphs.

"Your heart did that little flip."

"Your brain short-circuited."

"Your stomach dropped."

"Your heart pounded."

The paragraphs also tend to be very short, even if the fanfic itself is long/has a big word count, the format itself is still a short paragraph, followed by a line of one-liner responses, followed by more short paragraphs

Instead of coming up with new ways to describe how a character is feeling, it just keeps repeating the same handful of phrases, and keeps wording them all very similarly.

Not to mention that with real writers they might sometimes have their own writing style or voice. They might have little habits in the way they write, maybe they’ll overusing a certain word that they really like, or phrase things in a specific way, or add random little tangents. Ai doesn’t do that naturally, and when it tries, it often sounds dumb, forced, or stilted.

Ai also always tends to sound the same, or at least very similar, because it uses the same format and writing style every single time. So, if you read a fic from one person, then read another fic from someone else and feel like the writing style is almost IDENTICAL, not just similar, but IDENTICAL, they probably both used ai.

Some writers might write something, then ask ai to fix it up for them. Or they might do the opposite, and ask ai to write something for them, then they just lightly or partially touch it up by themselves, but for someone like me who studied the way that ai thinks and writes, overtime, it’s become very easy for me to tell when ai was involved in the process of writing something, even if the person tried to change it up or fix it up a bit.

3. Cap being accused and called out by his team ... either it's the "language" or "I understood that reference"

4. Loki for some reason being imprisoned in the tower by Odin to learn humanity blah blah

5. Thor and his poptarts

6. Natasha and wanda being the bestie

7. Reader either dating Loki or Bucky

8. Fury calling out reader initially as a threat as they were an orphan who was a lineage of witches type of trope. OR reader is Tony's kid.

9. Bucky randomly becoming besties with Sam and them having their own fights.

10. Peter and Shuri becoming besties with reader

11. Maria, pepper, wanda, Natasha and reader having sleepovers.

12. Tony having a party every time after a mission. Everyone ends up trying to lift thor's hammer and reader turns out to be worthy.

13. Loki teaching reader how to use magic.

honestly same, timebomb is shoved down my throat constantly and i can get on board sometimes but i dont think i actually ship them 😔 shes for the girls i swear <3
