now here’s the important question

Old sphinxes are thunderhead savanna (lightning territory? light/lightning border?), and the new one’s use of the phrase “the sphinx prides” biases me to putting it with the others, but it could honestly be anywhere. 

Manticores are Arcane, Shadow, Water, Fire (Volcanic Vents/Fire ambassador), Nature (Rainsong Jungle/“thick jungles or dense woodlands” on the false ambassador description), and then who knows on the Silvermane Barbtail and  Dunewind Manticore.

So I don’t see any evidence in my quick search that they do live together (no overlap in known territories) but there’s also no evidence that they don’t (new sphinx and 2 manticores that are treasure marketplace could be together).

Just like that, we’re rounding the corner on our fifth year since Flight Rising first spread its wings and launched into this incredible journey. It was the boldest heist in his career, but after spending nearly a year pretending to be a scientist to avoid being tracked down by vengeful offspring and then hastily faking his own death in a huge chemical explosion, a bold heist was exactly what Bastardo needed to take the edge off. His target was the most well-known of the festival vendors – really the ONLY vendor, save some back-alley transients: the famous Mirror, Joxar. After spending a month enjoying the society of the Lightning Farm after the Thundercrack Carnivale, the oncoming Fire festival beckoned and the merchant was packing up his collected Gears to take them in a caravan of Serpenta-drawn carts to wherever he stored the trinkets until the next year. (The exact location of the currency warehouse was something of a holy grail for entrepreneurs like Bastardo, but discovering that secret would have to wait until he wasn’t also trying to lay low for the first time in his life. Bastardo himself had a sneaking suspicion that Joxar was in fact a demigod, but he wasn’t going to let something like that stop him.) 

Teaming up with a few of the criminal element he’d run into during his stay in the laboratories – including a rather ruthless and strangely beautiful Imperial named Pfau – Bastardo laid out the trap they’d devised on a desolate road on the border of the Ashfall Waste. It involved hexes, a hugely involved illusion, two professional actors, a dummy cart filled with parts salvaged from a malfunctioning Golem Workshop, and an inordinate amount of luck, but by the end of the day Bastardo, Kid, and (unfortunately) the box were hightailing it out of the Shifting Expanse on a cart filled to the brim with Charged Sprockets.

To say the next chapter of his life is uncertain is an understatement, but it begins the same as the ten preceding it began: with children dumped at his doorstep. With all his troubles replaying in his mind, Bastardo looked down at his latest batch of unfortunate progeny (courtesy of Pfau), and he considered for a moment that perhaps… perhaps if he handled this situation with a bit more care, he wouldn’t end up with sons and daughters raised with vengeance in their hearts and his name on their blades. Perhaps he should…

“Hey, Kid, got some more babies for you to drop off.” 

Here they are! The last Bastardo babies probably. He had a nest in every flight, and ended up with 28 offspring (although many of them have been exalted by now.) These are the last, from Lightning (with thanks to @deer-rising). 

It has been requested that I don’t do these first-come first-serve, so what I’ll do is a short giveaway type thing I suppose. What you need to do is send me a two-way Crossroads request saying which one you want in the note. You can only enter once. (note that after you own one of these you can scatterscroll, breed change, WHATEVER they’re yours now) The required attachment can be 1 treasure or a trash item or whatever. At 20:00 8/17 (about four hours from posting this) I will draw three people, et voila.
