This poll blog is for if people have heard or used a phrase/saying/idiom/word/pronunciation before!
If youâd like it would be nice to include what the phrase means. If you donât, I will try to find what it means, but that may not be accurate to what you are wanting to know.
If you want to do a single word, you must include what it means in the dialect. For example, if you want to use buggy, that could mean many things. You need to do âBuggy to mean shopping cart.â
This is a trial: For pronunciations, youâre welcome to use the phonic alphabet or sound it out with words that have more uniform pronunciation. For example, you could ask if people have heard aunt pronounced to sound like the insect. I will use more discretion in this category for if something is too common to put on here. For example, unless you have a really out there way to say crayon, that word would not be suitable for this setting.
Please do only one word or phrase per submission. It makes it more difficult to keep track of what Iâve done if thereâs multiple in one ask.
I do have submit posts on, so if you want to use the submissions instead of asks, go for it! Just please use the outline of the other posts. I wonât be super particular about phrasing of the poll or answers though.
I have a feeling that most of these will be in English, but all languages are welcome :)
Currently running on a queue of one post every 2 hours. If I get more submissions, that will increase in frequency.
This post is likely to be more fleshed out as I go, but thatâs all Iâve got so far.
Side note: I get sick (especially with head aches and migraines) fairly often. If I havenât posted in a bit, donât worry I havenât abandoned this blog. I just have to save the energy.
I also run this solely off mobile, and I use quick reblog. I reblog things to this account frequently on accident.
