Imo one of the best things the Star Wars prequels did was establish how much Anakin/Vader *wanted* he and Padme’s baby. Because if it HAD been written as him never knowing she was pregnant, or not caring much because he was Too Much of a Man in War to really give a shit that he was going to have a kid (both of which are things people have suggested would have been *better* somehow), I don’t think it would have added as much to his relationship with Luke as it did. Vader doesn’t love Luke just as an extension of Padme, or in an obligatory, familial way, or even as a last connection to the person he was way.

Vader loves Luke because he’s always loved Luke, from the moment he knew there was going to be a Luke to love. He wants to know Luke because he’s always wanted to know him. He wants to be a part of Luke’s life, because he never had any intention not to be. That’s important. That’s powerful shit.

You know when your dog is trying to eat something she’s not supposed to? And she’s looking at you out of the corner of her eye and you're looking at her out of the corner of yours because you both know what she's going to do the second you look away. And she slowly opens her mouth and starts inching towards it in a game of red light green light every time you lose your focus for even a second. You know that?

Tech also knows this. But he doesn't have a dog he just has an idiot older brother who loves to stick things in his mouth for the sake of tracking. And no matter how many times Tech tells him that the next time he licks something toxic he can track his way all the way to the nearest Poison Control Center, he not only has to continue dealing with it but also with the game of follow the stupid leader it inspires in Wrecker. And Crosshair is of course no help.

But then Echo shows up! And now at least there is one brain cell holder for every leaf licker.

And then Omega shows up. And the first time he sees her raise her hand toward her mouth not thirty seconds after he just finished telling Hunter off he realizes that it is and always has been a lost cause.

Obviously Star Wars: Rebels is a great show for a variety of reasons, but one that I get endless amusement out of is the tacit fact that there were at least THREE other force users in the rebellion and we just never told Luke Skywalker about it.

As I've been rereading the Jedi Apprentice series by Jude Watson in an effort to revive some whimsy in my life, I have had a persistent image in my head for what I think Tahl looks like and it occurred to me today who it was: the one and only Indira Varma.

Just imagine the green and gold eyes?

Like 2010s, Game of Thrones era?

And to further illustrate my point, throw in 1990 Liam Neeson

I loved seeing her in the Kenobi show and maybe that's why I made the connection but I just thought I'd share.

Thoughts? Other fan casts for the Apprentice series?

The ones that I’ve considered are Gina Torres (who has also been a personal headcasting of mine for Hera Syndulla) and Michelle Hurd.

(But I love Indira Varma so much! Her and Liam Neeson would have looked amazing together!)

This image popped into my head about a week ago and I couldn’t resist it. I love the idea of the clones painting their armor and the nose art on the LAAT/i gunships (“Plo’s Bros,” anyone? :D ), getting to have some fun downtime. They deserve it. T^T <3

I imagine the scene directly following this moment involves Cody hearing Obi-Wan coming down the hallway to the hangar and marching over to the largest paint can to fling its contents onto the little heart-eye Cody, hiding the evidence. When Obi-Wan arrives, he’s very confused by the wails of despair from Waxer, Boil, Crys, and Wooley, but compliments them on their abstract nose art nonetheless. He is equally confused when, a few days later, he looks over the duty roster and notices that the four of them have been listed under latrine duty ad infinitum. >_>

Why does it sometimes feel like TCW went out of its way to avoid giving Cody any clear personality traits or showing Obi-Wan and Cody interact? Cody was the only distinct clone character in RotS, but somehow got zero development in TCW.

I saw a post saying that Codywan is totally fandom and it made me think about this. Cody is Obi-Wan’s second-in-command; they work together at least as closely as Anakin and Rex, closer in fact since Obi-Wan doesn’t have a Padawan commander. We know they have a relationship, but canon gives us next to no information on what that looks like. Fans had to “make stuff up” because they had f all to work with. Even in the books it’s freaking hard to find Cody. I really wish he’d appeared in Obi-Wan Kenobi, but no.
