I started drawing this ambitious illustration in early June last year with the aim of paying tribute to one of the most important games franchises for me, created by Argonaut Games in 1997, and then having it printed on a dark T-shirt that I can wear any day to show my love for this classic 3D platformer from the 1990s.
However, a month after getting off to a good start, I was offered a full-time job outside my field of study, and unfortunately I was unable to continue with it. The working hours and days off were constantly changing, making it difficult for me to manage my time and, as a result, my drawing activity had to take a back seat. I recently secured a part-time role elsewhere (I’m still settling in), which makes it easier for me to pick up on some of the ideas I’d jotted down and bring them to life on paper or on screen. In cases like this, I’ll certainly be able to continue developing them.
For this large illustration of *Croc: Legend of the Gobbos*, I intend to include not only the protagonist, a Dantini and all the bosses (nine of them!) from the game, but also allies such as Beany, a Gobbo (already included) and King Rufus.
For now, Chumly is practically finished, but Itsy still needs to be fully coloured in. With patience and time, I’ll manage to finish this tribute. 💪✨ 🐊
