meet my AFOP sarentu oc/insert char :3 Tanhìnari (star eyes in Na'Vi) but she just goes by Tanhì

her beloved ikran is called Tìyawni (meaning love)

shes quite a sassy ikran but is very protective and connected to her rider. shes just a bit headstrong and prone to lunging headlong into danger if she senses a threat, which more often than not gets them both in trouble XD but shes a gentle and loving soul at heart and Tanhì absolutely adores her. she constantly paints little symbols on her to show her affection and their bond and ofc has her blinged out with some pretty gear and leaves/feathers so they match e.e Tanhi actually lost her first bonded ikran Miyanté to a pair of stormgliders only a few weeks after having made the bond. she was still fresh and niave to the ways of pandora and stumbled upon a nest while flying high among floating mountains. she felt their death was her fault and that eywa had deemed her unworthy and she spent many months in deep mourning. but eventually she sought that bond once more after encouragement from So'Lek and her friends - to fill that hole in her heart and partly out of neccessity to help with the battles against the RDA, and it led her to find and be claimed by Tìyawni. They have been inseperable ever since and she is fiercely protetive of her ikran for fear of losing another, though they equally protect one another and their bond grows day by day~

some headcanon lore: she follows tamteys current lore pretty much atm and a fair bit of the characterisation tho i do have differences as well that make her her own thing, so shes both my tamtey skin and an afop oc XD i may eventually seperate her from the tamtey persona but we will see how developed she becomes lol. but for now i guess this is my own spin on Tamteys persona ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Tanhì was born in the middle of the night and her lil baby face was covered in a tight cluster of bioluminescence around her eyes n nose giving her mother the idea since her face resembled the night sky! a gift of light from eywa

She was a pretty quiet kid who like ahari n nor didnt take well to the learnings of TAP and the RDA and longed for a life in pandora, hidden behind quiet resistances to mercers regime. after ahari's death Tanhi pretended to be mute, her own little rebellion against mercer - not wanting to use human language but also not getting in trouble for speaking NaVi, so she simply went quiet n refused to speak with humans around. she kept her voice only for the other sarentu children and became pretty withdrawn in that time period, barely speaking at all even to them u.u she felt hopeless and resigned to a fate she didnt know if she could endure, what mercer did to Ahari completely severed any coexistence with humans for her, she feels pandora can never truly be her home with them around. (she also couldnt stand being at resistance hq pff) skipping forward to when theyre all making their own way in the world after they first wake up she settles into Na'Vi life quite well though she much prefers to roam and explore what pandora has to offer and doesnt really feel homebound at all, preferring to spend much of her time alone or flying with her bonded, hunting and living off the land. but at the first whiff of trouble she is quick to return to give warning and helps out the other sarentu and the resistance when the RDA causes trouble. she just prefers her own freedoms and being able to come and go as she pleases, she wants to find her own place in pandora, not really knowing a home to return to, but her heart will always belong with her fellow sarentu and she will never abandon her kin.

~ she is an adept huntress and is proficient at flying and aerial combat, making her quite the warrior. to the RDA she is 'death on wings' (tamtey is afterall an rda destroying machine XD she should be a legend just like solek by now pff). She also enjoys travelling to the other clans and learning their ways - in part feeling its her duty as sarentu to take up old traditions and gain the knowledge they have lost...her love of learning shines through and she takes on the teachings of other clans to better herself each day, and if nothing else then at least she gains new stories of the places and people shes visited to tell her fellow sarentu upon her return. after spending some time with the zeswa clan she has developed a fondness for art and painting, taking to it like a kinglor moth to a flame, though she feels unsure if she should share such a talent since she feels the other need her to be a strong fighter and a rolemodel of sorts -scouting n doing recon, finding rda bases, attacking from the shadows, helping to organise war efforts etc- and worries that it would sort of change their perspective of her (shes always been seen as a reliable shoulder, but she's quite insecure about expressing herself and doesnt want others to find her strange. she doubts they would actually judge her for having such a hobby seeing how harmless and creative it is, but the scars from TAP run deep as they say~) so she kinda keeps it to herself for the moment, painting rock murals in her quiet moments or the small bases she calls her home. even her ikran is not spared as a canvas for her hands XD. ~ lil future brian nugget; gets paper sketch pad from a human?? uses sap/resin/ink or some other renuable natural material to draw with? - documents the animals she sees, landmarks, makkes a lil map of her adventurs, even does some navi protraits. but keeps it all hidden away in her ikran saddle or home base~ the only outward way she shows it is with helping others with their warpaint e.e - - - - - pic of her first ikran Miyanté, before their song was cut short :c

i decided to make some size charts/height guides for the creatures of Pandora to hopefully be a useful resource for artists or fic writers etc.

took a week or so but i finally finished the last one today! all 3 are on my DA for download/higher quality (note these r just screenshots, the og images r too big XD so ive atatched the links)
