I just recently discovered singer-songwriter Jessica Pratt, a real gem of an artist. From the first listen, I was pretty much hooked on her unique voice. Gruff and sweet, with a nostalgic feel, you can’t help but be lulled by it. This one’s for the old souls out there.

The French lyrics in this track are sexier than ever. I'm pretty hooked on this velvety deep house collaboration.

It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of every day life. Details start to become fuzzy and you tend forget the small pleasures. In comes a track like this - to slow you down, close your eyes, and make you groove. It's the sound you need.

Pretty appropriate tune considering how warm it currently is in September. No complaints though, keep the sunshine coming!

This album releases on October 7th, which also happens to be my birthday. I couldn't think of a better gift.

I'll admit I never really payed attention to Lorde, despite her incredible voice and irresistibly catchy tunes. Pop is just not my first choice of sound. Seeing her live at the Osheaga festival though (thanks to my friend and Lorde-lover extraordinaire), was enough to convert me.
