“I’d love to,” Taylor accepted quickly, bouncing up on the balls of her feet. “Do you have them on you here?” She smiled, her blue eyes big and bright with interest.

"Ah, no." he says wincing a little bit. "They're in my small office at my loft." He knew this was probably the corniest move in the book of corny moves, but he really did want her to read them and see what she thought... mostly.

“Thanks, that’s so nice of you!” Taylor gushed gratefully, catching his eye as she stared at her. She cleared her throat and smirked, running her tongue across her bottom lip.

"No problem." he says smiling sweetly at her. His eyes dropped down to the way her tongue moved across her lower lip. "I have a few things that haven't been published yet. You could read those and tell me what you think?"

Taylor took his card, returning his smirk as she slid it into her bra for safekeeping. “Yeah, I have to. I can’t afford my apartment for much longer with no income.” 

Watching as the card disappeared within her bra making him break out in a grin. "Well, I know a guy in the career department. If I hear any open jobs I'll let you." he says.

“You’ll have to give me your number so I can tell you what I think of it,” Taylor replied with a raised brow. “I did work in a cafe. I got fired yesterday.” She sighed heavily.

Smirking, he reached to his back pocket where his wallet was and pulled it out. "Here, have this." he pulls out his business card and hands it over to her. "Tough break. Are you looking for another one?"

“Yeah, I’m so starstruck,” she teased him gently. “I’ve never read anything of yours before. I’ll have to get onto that now I’ve met you.” She grinned.

"If you do let me know how you feel about it. I'm so use to the critics that I never know if it's any good or not." he says turning his gaze to look towards the ground for a moment. "What do you do?" he asks looking up at her.

“Really?” Taylor looked impressed. “I feel like I’m talking to a minor celebrity now,” she added jokingly, watching the way he moved. She was always extremely observative with strangers, especially cute ones.

"Really." he says chuckling now. "Nah, not even close." Though it wasn't entirely true. His name has been on the many news stations for his more outspoken and different views.

“You’re a writer?” Taylor asked with interest, tilting her head to the side. She studied him, deciding that he did look like a writer. “That’s so cool. What do you write about?”

"I write for the New York Times." he says his hands now being shoved into his jeans pockets. "Politics. It may sound boring, but it's actually a lot of fun."

“That’s a cute name,” she giggled softly, brushing her hair out of her face. “Nowhere. I’m going nowhere. Just.. wandering, you know?”

"Thank you." he says a crooked smile crossing his features. "Pretty much the same. Trying to get the writing mojo going and that only happens when I go walking."

“Taylor,” she said with a brief smile. “Who are you?”

"Wesley." he says nodding his head in greeting. "Where are you going Taylor? If you don't mind me asking."

“Yeah, I said hey,” Taylor reworded, taking the friendly approach. Lucky him.

"Hey to you too." he says with a nod of his head. "Who are you?"

"Hm?" he asked only catching the end of what she was saying. Pulling out his headphones he turned to the girl. "You say something?"
