Taylor is being crowned artist of the decade before she even turns thirty....she essentially entered this decade as a child and is now leaving it as the artist of the decade. Like woah

Taylor Swift has done more for media literacy than any other musical artist ever. Her active encouragement of fan analysis, her deliberate inclusion of layered hidden meaning within her work, her intentional self-referentialism, reflection and reinterpretation, her lyrics that lean heavily towards satire and playfully subverting expectation……. the last few years of her career have been littered with proof that she is pushing an educational agenda. She is asking people to actively question the stories they used to internalise without second thought, including narratives and themes she once wrote but no longer agrees with. She is a media studies professor hidden within the world of pop music, actively encouraging the general public to dissect the media they consume, the messages they receive and the politics behind them……… the fact of the matter is that if Taylor Swift were a man, we would be discussing her effect not only as a famous singer-songwriter, but as a public intellectual presenting a body of artistic work with a deliberate focus on media literacy
