like a consumer phone will not have the hardware and tech capabilities to sense resentful energy or whatever right off the bat so theres no possible way of detecting yao from software alone. you would need to build a hardware receiver of some kind that has a resentful energy sensor, like full on microprocessor technology. like an arduino version of the compass of evil. and maybe a wireless receiver attached for your cellphone to receive the signal. you wouldnt even need the app tbh if you just have an analog device it can detect signals like a spirit box or something. the app could just be there to provide those extra nick nacks like controlling the radius strength, the intensity threshold or the rgb profile of the receiver idk
