I was reading up on backward design when I stumbled upon another Instructional Design Model which is quite interesting. Being a forward design model, I think it is ideal for course designing in a controlled environment like predefined learning in schools and universities as per syllabus. ADDIE pushes for a common goal. For example, a course on Quantum Mechanics in a university will have the same goal for all the students who study it.
