3 Dots of kindness

The nagging in the back of his head was telling him, screaming at him that something was off.  But Diavolo knew better than to question fate - Fate, which had taken him this far, which led Dio straight to him.  Clearly, this was another gift from Fate.

So he ignored the voice in his mind, instead opting to give Dio a half-smirk before settling back on his stoic gaze, keeping up his appearance as a fearsome mafia boss.

“Good choice, Brando.  I’m sure we can achieve many things together, you and I.” He paused for a moment. “Any questions?  I’m sure we’ll have a lot to discuss.”

" Heh. I, Dio, don’t have anything to asks for now. And yet, all the questions already answered except one thing... " He paused, with his smirk went down, the big guy asks in serious tones. 

“No need to be so modest.”

He felt odd, being so polite to this boy.  Their meeting was going nothing like he’d expected - he thought that there would be a scuffle or something along those lines.

“What you’ve done - what you’ve achieved - is remarkable.  Talent and charisma such as yours is just what we need.”

He let out a low laughs with a wide smirk as he was being over modest towards the other. Dio couldn’t help himself from being like that after all. The blonde guy stopped the laughs to hear the other talks about him again. kinda, impressive of how well he did. 

What felt so strange about seeing what seemed to be a different version of Dio was that this one seemed to have no obscure intentions, unlike the counterpart Speedwagon had had the misfortune to come across before.

As Dio went on, and judging solely by his words, Robert couldn’t help but feel some sort of relief. Luckily, he’d come across Dio before he did any of the Joestars, else, who knows what would have happened to him by now? The whole thought was rather strange on it’s own. Not once since he met Dio ─the vampire he’d known for a while now─ he thought he’d ever say or think something like that… or that he’d ever come across a different version of him. One that didn’t seem or smelled evil, at that…

“It’s… too strange. I just can’t seem to be able to fully wrap my head around it all, but I guess I’ll trust you.” He added, lightly rubbing his cheek in thought. “I’m certainly no expert, but as far as I know, vampires not only can not use hamon at all, but they’re also quite violent in their ways. Or at least the Dio I know is, and you sure don’t seem to be like that. Not to mention that I can sense a much different smell coming from you.”

A low sighs of relieved escaped again from his lips, adding with his eyebrows raised a little. He didn’t realized that his lips was went up a little to smiles by that answer. It really hards for him to gained a trusts from other people mostly when they already knew Dio the Vampire.

There was something tugging at the back of his mind, screaming that something was off.  Diavolo ignored it - ensuring the continued rise of his empire was his first priority.

“Rumours about you have been circulating - about what you’re capable of.  You’d make a fine member for the gang.”

That was really surprising him more. Did the rumors about him saving his hometown really spread around out from his place and ended up makes this other guy joined him in Italy? That was really far from his place though. 

Diavolo stared at the blond for a moment, studying his appearence.

“Dio Brando, yes?” He was rather taken aback by the person in front of him.  From what he’d heard Dio Brando was ruthless and powerful, a cruel immortal who crushed those who dared cross his path, yet the boy before him radiated none of that.  Were the rumours false?

Shaking his thoughts away, Diavolo turned his attention back to the question. “I’m the boss of Passione.  We’re a rising gang in Italy.”

Dio silently stunned as he heard of his name was called by someone he really, really doesn’t know nor even meet before. But, he slowly nodded for that, without letting any words of confused letting out. Just, not yet, not now, for asking about the things that’s not related about their inviting just now.

" You called me... For entering your group? " 

Speedwagon remained silent as Dio spoke; his stance defensive still. After everything he’d seen and been through thanks to the vampire so far, who could really blame the ex-thug from reacting like that?

Robert’s expression was one of puzzlement as he saw clear thin lines of yellow crackling all around the other blond’s arm. There was no doubt, he was a hamon user, but…

“How…?” His voice matching the look on his face. As far as he knew, hamon was lethal to vampires. The sole fact that one of them could manipulate that sort of energy without receiving any damage didn’t make any sense. Without realizing, his stance eased a bit. “Aren’t you supposed to be a vampire…?”

“ I, Dio, not that kind of monster you thought so... And yet, I, Dio, would state that we’re swap. “ The blonde quickly reply back their confusing spokes. Though the tones was still same but his personality surely different. 

Dio wraps around his arm on his chest, letting out a low sighed with reliefs feeling. He glad that they realized that he’s not that monster. But, yet, the other still doubts about him after showing that. And by that he continue his speaks.
