Just watched Wolfwalkers and wow it’s a crime that that was released on Apple TV only. Highly recommend it. I imagine wolf therians would love it

I like to tunnel in back of my car and feel the pressure of the seats. But I hate the smell. I want to tunnel in real cool wet dirt.

They love me for my glossy carapace and sharp tarsi.

I feel most draconic when I’m keen, hungry, in a way past physicality. Locked on a singular point. It hasn’t happened in a while: I am in defense, there is no energy for it. It sometimes feels like an important part of me is fading away.

And — I think therianthropy is inextricable from capitalism and kink, respectively. How alienated are we from our theriotypes, from the behaviors that feel natural to us, by constant mindless labor? Does work not make you just want to run away and be anything else, anything other than human? And are kink spaces not one of the few times one can do so?

For me, therianthropy is inextricable from my neurodivergence. Past being an identity, it’s also a way to interpret and process my emotions that makes sense to me. I feel most aligned with the dog when experiencing intense physical joy, and most aligned with the beetle when overwhelmed and shutting down. Both are almost childlike states of being which I struggle to explain, and which have been activated by emotional/mental/physical stimuli as far back as I can remember. (Even as a child I was considered “mature for my age” “old souled” or “gifted” and then would have lapses of relative immaturity or “baby talk”. I wonder if it’s related.)
