anywayyyyy big ol muscled Carm with a plus sized girl... (i'm definitely not being self-indulgent here)

I myself am not plus sized but I tried my best, let me know if you have any thoughts/constructive criticism, hope you enjoy! :)

Carmys very physically affectionate, so he lovesss to (gently) manhandle his partner, and he won’t let anything like size stop him!!!

He gets mildly frustrated whenever you hesitate to lay on him or sit on lap, so when you are laying/sitting on him he keeps you there as long as possible just to prove that it isn’t a problem for him (he’s basically keeping you hostage)

He’s the kind of person who thinks that the bigger you are just means the more of you he has to love.

He’s never been one to think of physical appearances much (regarding others and himself) so he doesn’t really understand anxiety’s or insecurity’s you have regarding being plus sized

If he makes you food and you deny it he’ll never force you to eat it, be he definitely will not encourage or even amuse the idea of you not eating anything. He’s always reassuring you that he doesn’t care about your size and just wants you loved and taken care of.

(This isn’t exclusive to plus size reader but…) He loves stretch marks, no doubt about it. He thinks they make you even more gorgeous and he can't resist kissing them each time he sees them. He's genuinely shocked when he learns how stigmatized they are and doesn't understand how anyone could think like that.

Carmy can not, and will not, tolerate anyone making comments about you being plus sized

Even if you ignore the comment or don’t let it affect you he’s still furious, it doesn’t matter if it upsets you or not, he will always defend you and/or chew someone out for that stuff.

This goes for backhanded compliments as well, if someone says something like ‘you’re so brave for wearing that’ he’s immediately going “brave for what? Wearing clothes???”.

sydney understood carmy. she understood his goals and aspirations and the way he sees cooking and why he feels and acts how he does. you can see it in that scene where he drops the plate; sydney instantly knows how he feels and what to say.

and, even further, he gets her, too. he knows what she needs to be the best head chef, and consistently encourages her to take pride in her cooking.

claire loved carmy, and im sure he returned that. but she didn’t know him, he didn’t know her. to be truly, deeply loved you need to be known, understood. it’s a rare thing - to be both loved and known by someone. that’s what sydney and carmy have.
