You have to be willing to sit through horrible albums sometimes to look for new music and you might find it impossible but it’s what makes life worth living to me. it takes the discipline of a warrior to be a true music lover not everyone can survive it

alsoooooo one more thing but I’ve already seen two celebrities/public figures (Chelsea handler and Rosie O’Donnell) talk about how their doctors put them on glp1s without telling them what they were or what the medication was supposed to do. Chelsea handler said her doctor “hands it out to everybody” and Rosie O’Donnell said she had no idea that weight loss was a side effect and called her doctor in a panic because she lost weight so fast she thought it was cancer. NEVER let them distract you from the real enemy: the medical field that has systemically and often fatally dehumanized the fat people in its care for decades and whose obsession with classifying and pathologizing any sort of body it deems deviant has brought us to this moment in time

but you know what…I bet everyone’s going to come together again and watch lesbian Bridgerton. why? because lesbian bridgerton isn’t trying to be anything but itself. It’s not trying to be a prestige drama or a commentary on queer identity politics it’s very clearly a lesbian season of Bridgerton and that’s it. And everyone involved seems very excited to be involved with lesbian bridgerton and very realistic about how it will fit into the current media landscape. Its distinct brand of guileless unpretentiousness feels like a cool breeze on a summers day

I like when healer characters are the blunt ones. Your paladin woman needs to be the sweetiepie who cares about the wellbeing of the group and your healer woman needs to be like House MD. she should be like if you’re not wall to wall pulling I’m not healing you

the wicked fandom seems to similarly have fractured into people watching utena, people into gaming, new convert arianators, heritage arianators, and people rewatching shows from the early 2010s. but crucially there seems to be a particular plurality of identity where someone is often doing multiple of these things at once

elphaba turning to religious imagery of st glinda but turning away from the actual glinda is so. like she's so terrified of losing the real glinda or being rejected by her (re: caprice in the pines). she's scared of glinda ending up like melena (dissatisfied depressed socialite) or fiyero (dead by association), but she's also scared of facing the glinda she left behind for fear that she's lost her to high society (a fear that's seemingly confirmed in their colwen grounds reunion). she turns her back on glinda and goes to st glinda for comfort so she won't have to feel rejected by her again
