all you have to do is get offline. don’t think about how what you’re doing is going to look to other people. in fact just start doing things and not telling anyone. let it come up naturally over time

and start talking/interacting to/with people!!!!! like ppl you don’t know. say hello, ask what floor if you get on the elevator together, hold the door, smile at someone. like just the act of engaging stimulates your brain

give yourself time to be bored. like honest to god staring at the wall in silence bored. take a walk and stare at the sky. read a kids chapter book (low stakes, silly humor) and gradually age up across genres. challenge yourself to do unserious but out of character things. write down your thoughts (literal pen to paper). read the news paper (i love the kids post. things i didn’t know, things i forgot i knew. and often times with little curiosity it can apply to whatever Adult thing is going on in my life)

also just decide that you’re an interesting person. be unconcerned about other people thinking you’re interesting. once you decide that you are one and not masquerading as one, it comes naturally. the things around you take in new meaning. you naturally want to know more. it isn’t performative.

imo the main focus and concern should be that someone on mark’s team knew better but determined that it was fine. they felt as tho mark would be okay with wearing it. that in and of itself is disturbing. the apology is whack. it’s a huge, plain as day confederate flag.

and you can’t say “they’re korean why would they know” when korean people by all appearances seem to be hyper aware of symbolism and are also highly concerned with image. if it’s an oversight… again: the apology is totally whack and unacceptable

why wear a flag if you don’t know what it means??? why offer it to someone to wear??? why didn’t a single person think to look it up or speak on it??? why didn’t they, when they realized, reach out to the other people and ask them not to share the images????

he has eyes. his face his all eyes and they reflect his halo which looks like someone borrowed the sun to make it

he falls from heaven into your backyard and everyone thinks he’s an omen and you kinda do too but he makes himself your responsibility and mama didn’t raise a quitter yk????

so now you’re raising this grown man omen that you start to suspect might be an angel and he can barely communicate with you at first but slowly he starts adapting and by mistake (BIG mistake) he starts to look more human and when he catches a glimpse of himself one day he becomes horrified bc humans were made in god’s image not angels and it’s this point where you confirm that he’s actually an angel

“diya…why haechan and not mark???” asked no one. but great question!!!

i would love to see angel!mark spiral out of control once he realizes he’s adapting to this world and lying about being made in god’s image (this is a very big arch for me obvi) and not realizing that this is his trial BUT!!!!!! i want him to to be your husband

love story on multiple levels remember

he’s your husband in name tho. it’s a marriage of convenience and even tho you’re a few steps beyond roommates, you’re nowhere near lovers. think like: i’ll find you in every life time (but not always romantically)

anyway he isn’t around for the first part of the story. he’s away on business. when you finally speak to him once he’s on his way home you’re like “oh we have company.” and then you pick him up from the airport you get out to watch him put his luggage in the trunk and you’re like “btw there’s an angel in the backseat. he’s staying with us for awhile.”

he only starts to see once he starts to adapt. it takes a lot of work to focus but you’re the first person he ever looks at, obvi

do other generations have the same fuzzy divide that caused zillennials to be a defined Thing or is it largely caused by the analog/digital transition????
