I use lotsss of references and inspirations! I have some pinterest boards where I hoard them :) for instance, for the milqilin adopts I've drawn a lot of inspiration from German dirndl, as well as classic lolita designs and cute Japanese langerie. I'd advise to pick 2-3 inspiration sources for a design and start experimenting ^0^
