If you do start I recommend starting with The Prophecies Begin which follows Rusty (eventually Firestar)

There are 5 clans, Thunderclan, Riverclan, Windclan, Shadowclan, and Skyclan.

When a cat dies, they either go to Starclan or The Dark Forest. Basically cat heaven and hell.

Leaders get their nine lives from Starclan and earn the title "star" (ex using an oc: Elkglade -> Elkstar)

Clan terms:

Twolegs: Humans

Thunderpath: Road

Monsters: Cars

Housecats: Kittypets

Stray cats: Rouges/Loners, main difference is that Loners won't/don't want to hurt clans or anything to do with them if I'm correct.

Deathberries: Yew berries(highly toxic)

There could be more but I haven't read in a while these are the terms I remember

The moonstone(old territories) and moonpool(new territories) is how the clans connect with starclan.

Kits become apprentices at 6 moons, apprentices become warriors at 12 moons.

Medicine cat apprentices are approved by starclan before they get their names, Medicine cats are basically medics.

Suffixes basically go like this from kit to leader (once again using Elkstar as an example)
