hi, almost 5 months later and you still cross my mind
i wish there is a parallel universe where we are happy and not stuck elsewhere wishing we could get out of that situation without hurting other people or looking like assholes
i wish i got to know you better or got to hang out with you one last time
i wish i could immortalize that moment - that pure, happy, glowing moment
and then i smile as if everything inside me is intact, as if everything inside me isn’t breaking but oh my god, everything hurts.
in 5 years none of this shit will matter
i love sleeping and being mentally unavailable

People grow when they are loved well. If you want to help others heal, love them without an agenda.
Mike McHargue (via onlinecounsellingcollege)
the hardest part about leaving toxic people is that you know when you leave, they won’t chase after you. they won’t be begging on their hands and knees for you like you would have done for them. they’ll just let you walk away, never even look at you in their rear view mirror, and move on like nothing has changed. and it’s terrifying, because you’ll finally have to come to the cold hard realization that they never cared if you stayed.
Saying “I didn’t mean to” is not the same as saying “I’m wrong and I’m sorry.”

Strange as it may seem, I still hope for the best, even though the best, like an interesting piece of mail, so rarely arrives, and even when it does it can be lost so easily.
Lemony Snicket, The Beatrice Letters (via wordsnquotes)
being called annoying is literally the worst thing ever because then you’re scared to ever say or do anything again and you end up isolating yourself because you think everyone hates you and you feel insecure about everything. long story short pls dont call people annoying
But she did look back, and I love her for that, because it was so human.
Kurt Vonnegut, Slaughterhouse-Five (via wordsnquotes)

I firmly believe in small gestures: pay for their coffee, hold the door for strangers, over tip, smile or try to be kind even when you don’t feel like it, pay compliments, chase the kid’s runaway ball down the sidewalk and throw it back to him, try to be larger than you are— particularly when it’s difficult. People do notice, people appreciate. I appreciate it when it’s done to (for) me. Small gestures can be an effort, or actually go against our grain (“I’m not a big one for paying compliments…”), but the irony is that almost every time you make them, you feel better about yourself.
