Marc hesitated at her words, despite himself. There was definitely something about this girl that set him on edge, but he stood there anyways as he shook his head at her. “Did you want something from me?”

“what do you know?” walker eyed the girl with suspicion, “who do you work for?”

“i— i do not like the way you said that,” peter grimaced.

“Are you done now? I’d really like you to be done now so I can do the spell and get you out of my Sanctum.”

“Yeah, you don’t have to call me that. Please, don’t call me that.” She wasn’t Miles’ friend, or buddy or whatever the hell kinda nickname she was trying to give him. He didn’t like it. 

between plots? jeez this girl was odd. “uhh, alright. do you - wait how do you know my name?”

Couslon’s face twisted with empathy. “I don’t know you but now I’m sad for you. I never got invited to many parties as a kid either.”

“If I’m going to help you then we’re going to make one thing clear here,” Pausing firmly, Stephen narrows his eyes down at her before pointing a finger. “I am not Other Stephen.”

Oh, right. Pleasant Hill. The make-believe prison town that S.H.I.E.L.D. had crafted and dragged his girlfriend into. He definitely hadn’t been exclusively obsessing over that for the past few weeks. His jaw clenched slightly at how nonchalant Gwenpool was being about everything, but then again, this was Gwenpool he was speaking to. “We’re gonna figure out how to get here and everyone else outta there.” With her reality intact, hopefully.

“franchise––?” peter raised an eyebrow but quickly shook it off. “i mean, it’s a tempting offer. i could use another set of eyes. and you seem like you could use the company,” he joked.

“..you must be real fun at parties. Not the kind of parties I go to, of course. But some sort of parties.. somewhere.”

Marc had to practically yank his hand away from the girl’s grasp when she refused to let go after he’d helped her up, and brown eyes narrowed at her as she spoke. “Cool. Maybe be better at it next time, then? I’m gonna.. I’m gonna go.”
