“It is good to take time out of any day to stop and admire the nature around you--it comes and goes as it is wont, so marveling what you see in those moments can stand the test of time. 

“It’s merely an added bonus to have the leisure to do so as much as I want this moon.” He gives a quiet chuckle.

“Zeraia has been an inspiration for all that time, and when she joined us at the Lucky Sparrow over a year ago, it felt like I was reclaiming a home I had lost. Her voice and conviction is something I can never forget, and she’s just as heartfelt and strong as ever. 

“Altani and I had known her in our previous company, but given I was so withdrawn in those earlier days, I had never really spoken with her on a more personal level. And given I am often sidetracked with setting up for shows and doing much behind the scenes, alongside taking care of a seven-moon babe... This was the first time I had sat down without aught else on my mind. 

“We didn’t get very far into the conversation given not many people wanted to sit still on the beach, but I conveyed to her how much it meant to me that she was with us. And that she wished to spend time with everyone--and some nervous addition of her looking lovely that sun. Too much came to mind as we spoke that I excused myself to go and clear my head by the water. 

“Perhaps there will be more time to catch up this moon--and I’ll work on not putting my foot in my mouth next time.” 

(The lovely Zeraia doesn’t have a tumblr, but she’s an absolute sweet pea. ♥ )

“And I can only say that I grow more proud of how far they’ve come--Inay and Ziyo, that is. It’s hard to find them apart when they have the chance to spend time together, even when we take time away from the Lavender Halls to relax on the beach. I can’t fault that, really, not with what I know.

“I met Ziyo when all he knew was fear, waiting for the day he was going to die, whether by the hand of ally or foe. He knew not mercy or love, and that broke my heart when he finally opened up to me about his tale. It’s little wonder why Inay came to me for my blessing before that fateful day, after Ziyo invested so much in me...

“Inay has been a stalwart and loving partner to Ziyo, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a happier outcome. There were several bumps in the road, and life is never perfect, but they’ve learned to overcome the trials thrown in their path time and again. 

“This time away from the stage is good for everyone, I think... And I look forward to more smiles and laughs as the moon continues.”

The Xaela seems surprised by the question. “Oh, I don’t even think I have a wish list at this point.” His smile is warm. 

There was so much weighing on him--this danger, the future, and the present that he presently had to hold. 

He found himself in a situation the he knew he didn’t need to bear alone. And he wasn’t facing it by himself anymore.
