Kazuha 

Kazuha honestly makes out like a bandit because not only does he get your affection, he somehow doesn’t have to give more concessions than he’d be willing to. You might think you pulled off some incredible maneuvers, planning weeks in advance on how you’ll execute everything to get what you want, when he’d probably say yes even if you didn’t go through all the trouble. Not that he’s complaining. Or discouraging it. He’ll overhear you practicing what sweet things you plan to tell him and find it absolutely adorable. It’s not that he doesn’t know what you’re doing, he just doesn’t mind. Kazuha is confident enough in his ability to gently reel you back in if you ever start getting too greedy, so he’s not worried about it. Besides, he’s seen couples do this sort of thing all throughout his travels. A girl giving her man puppy dog eyes to buy her an expensive present and things in that vein. This is a somewhat unconventional version of that, he’ll tell himself. 

Xiao

Xiao is naturally leery of others. While this does make him distrustful of your intentions, if you play up that whole part about being mortal, you might be able to get a favor or two. The most daunting part is approaching him, whether it be summoning him by speaking his name or breaking the uneasy silence that lingers around the abode he keeps you in. You have trouble waiting until he’s in a good mood to further increase your chances at success, because he always seems impassive no matter what. Once you rip that initial band-aid off, you’ll find he’s surprisingly amiable depending on how you frame things. Anything that’s obviously outrageous won’t work, but if you say mortals need sunlight or whatever, he might give it some thought. He’d be suspicious if you started being affectionate the second before you ask for something — that’s why it’s best to wait until you after get what you want. He won’t really question it that way and it lays the groundwork for future plans. Play to your strengths. 

Scaramouche 

You might be wondering: what is this miserable bastard doing in this spot? Seems counter-intuitive, right? That’s the thing about miserable bastards. They’re, well, miserable. Scaramouche will tell you outright that “he knows what you’re doing” when you try and butter him up. While this might freak you out the first time, if you keep playing along, you’ll find that he doesn’t actually... do anything about it? He’s grumbly about how transparent you’re being while simultaneously soaking up the affection you’re giving him. Even if there are ulterior motives behind it, Scaramouche can’t deny how good it feels to be doted on. He figures it’s a behavior he should encourage in any way possible. So that the illusion doesn’t shatter and spoil his mood, wait until he asks what it is you want. Be quick about it too so he can get back to pretending your relationship is not one-sided. It’s a sensitive topic. 

Diluc

There’s a most valuable ace hidden up your sleeve when it comes to Mondstadt’s wine tycoon — guilt. Utilized in small doses, it’s an effective tool. If used too liberally, however, he might leave to go brood. A happy medium must be achieved. You’ve found that reminiscing about the past, in a sort of fond and whimsical manner, gives him pause. If you go into a soft tangent about how you used to play in the dandelion fields or play hide and seek in the Whispering Woods, he gets this contemplative look. You’re not outright demanding anything, but instead planting the seed in his head and nourishing it in the occasion. If done right, he’ll offer to accompany you to one of these places you’ve spoken of it not just to see that tender expression on your countenance again. 

Childe

Childe is huge on physical contact so he’ll be eating from the palm of your hand. Then he’ll be biting it when you run out of steam, sensing that you’re not getting anywhere. This man knows how to talk you in circles. He’ll lead you on, dangling what it is you desire right above your head, then pulling it higher whenever you get close. He doesn’t want your ploy to end! How far are you willing to go? How much dignity can you abandon? You’re always so much fun to play with. In reality, he’s made up his mind on whether or not he’d allow you to do what is it you want ages ago. He feels lying by omission isn’t technically lying, hence why he doesn’t feel guilty for keeping this from you. 

Kaeya

Kaeya can’t say he’s the biggest fan of being manipulated. Hey, that’s his shtick! You need to get your own thing. While it’s nice that you aren’t cringing when he wraps an arm around you or pulls you into a hug, he feels his pride is on the line. Kaeya can spot what you’re doing before you even realize what it is you’re doing. He starts sighing, acting like what you’ve done is the most immoral thing in this room, as opposed to the five locks on the door. He’ll sit you down and have a talk about it. Telling you that while he finds your efforts commendable, it just isn’t sustainable. Manipulation doesn’t suit you. He has to deal with that enough in his day-to-day life, he doesn’t want to come home to that as well. 

Albedo

Albedo understands the take part of the equation, but the give part? Not so much. He feels he’ll be reinforcing negative behavior on your part if he gives into your every whim for some love in return. There aren’t any viable methods to circumvent this. He’d rather you tell him outright what it is you’re after, that way it can be nipped in the bud if he feels it’s necessary. That being said, observing you is a favorite pastime of his, so he’ll let your act play out without interruption. It ends up being all the more devastating when his rejection is what you get in return for your efforts. He’ll soak up your touches, kisses, and anything else you’re willing to give, without budging on whatever issue it was you wanted to soften him up for.

Zhongli

6,000 years of life experience is nothing to scoff at. The God of Contracts has an intimate knowledge of negotiations rivaled by no one. He may find your attempts at bribery cute, but he won’t bend easily. If you want something from him, he will request something equal in return. This might not seem so bad for small favors. It is embarrassing to have him so nonchalantly list all that he expects from you — where you’ll kiss him, how frequently, the minimum he requires — the utter lack of shame astounds you every time. Zhongli will hold you to it too. There’s no excuse that will appease him. Honestly, the entire ordeal feels so stressful that you start to question if it was worth obtaining whatever you originally set your heart out for. Any games you seek to play always end up following his rules.
