The grizzly bear backed away slightly as it pattered up to her, eyeing the strange creature cautiously while Lukas was simply staring at it, completely bewildered at the creature he was seeing with his own one eye.
“…Th’ fuck is that, a gremlin?”
Tori didn’t seem upset at Lukas’ comment, just confused. (To be fair, he wasn’t all that sure what a ‘gremlin’ was.) He simply continued to look up at the two, a curious, almost questioning chirp coming from him.

The monster perked up at the familiar voice, and glanced behind him to see Marion running towards him. He scampered over to her, and she quickly picked up him. “Seriously, Tori. I’ve told you a million times not to run off, ‘specially in a city this big!”
Once she noticed the survivalist and beast, she sighed. “Sorry, was he bothering you two? ‘m afraid he’s a bit too curious for his own good.”

7. Many stab wounds in various locations
Xir was sitting in the middle of an alleyway, hunched over slightly and hissing through her teeth as she clutched a bloody wound on her side. Actually, visible on her body were numerous stab wounds and more obviously, blood coating various parts of her body and even dripping onto the ground. God, she looked like a mess.
The harpy blinked when she heard the person speak and glanced up at the vessel before her though she didn’t say anything.
Gemma had just been on a small walk. She hadn’t expected to find...well, this.

Xir’s eyes widened at the scythe as it radiated with his aura. The whole concept of aura and being able to use it as a weapon astounded her.
“That’s amazing! I wish I could do that!”
Marco grinned. “It takes a lot of practice, but it’s really cool! And the attacks are pretty powerful, too.”
Before he could continue, though, he noticed that it was starting to get a little late. “Crud...it’s not a good idea to stay out here late at night.” He smiled at Xir. “If you want, we could head back to town and I could lead you to the inn.”

“Huh, really? Why is that? Not many people making scythes as weapons or what?” Xir asked.
“Well, this is also where the techniques originated, many centuries ago. A lot of the older folk here want to keep those techniques here, but I honestly don’t see why…” He spun the weapon around a little, then let the blade rest on the ground. “Maybe they just wanna keep it’s power source a secret…understandable, but it’s quite interesting.”
Xir’s crest feathers rose up at the mention of the last thing he had said. “What do you mean by ‘power source?’ Your scythes run on something special?”
Marco lightly smirked, then surrounded his scythe with the dark blue glow again, though not using the move he did before. “It’s not something in the scythe itself...it’s aura. Every living being has one, but few can draw upon it and use it in combat. The ones who mainly use it are scythemasters, like me, and priests, who use their aura to create barriers and reflect monster’s attacks.”
He motioned to the light surrounding his blade. “The light around my scythe right now? That’s my own aura.”

When Xir revealed herself, Marco blinked. “Whoa…”
The his eyes widened, and a huge smile formed on his face. “Holy crap, this-” He scrambled over to the avian with an excited expression. “S-Sorry if this is weird but…I’ve been pretty interested in other creatures, especially human-like ones, and just…getting to meet one in person…” He then chuckled. “Sorry if that sounds weird…oh yeah. My name’s Marco.”
“Do you now? Well, as long as you aren’t being creepy about it, it’s all good.” She grinned up at him. “The name’s Xir. I’m an adventurer of sorts.”

His scythe’s blade was then surrounded by a dark blue glow, and he became silent, concentrating hard on this. After a few seconds, he then jumped up, and sliced his scythe towards the ground multiple times, sending out thin blades of the dark blue light that had been surrounding the blade before.
Landing on the ground, Marco stumbled a little, but smiled. “Good…that’s improving.”
Xir recoiled back a bit from the attack but her eyes were wide with amazement as she wathed him practice. “Woah, that’s awesome.” Xir quietly said to herself.

“U-Um…” she mumbled out, eyeing the two of them curiously. The girl was clearly shy, to say the least. “She can’t be…what I am. My race is only in one place.”
The monk boy shook his head. “Nah, she’s definitely what you are...um...a vessel, right? Yeah, she has the same ears and hair color, like how Lueur said! And Gemma DID say you guys were called vessels...ah, there she is now!”
The boy waved to a passing woman with long white hair in twin ponytails...and when she looked over, it was obvious she was a vessel. The ears were the same, too. She quickly ran over. “There you two are! Honestly, you had me and the rest worried sick...hmm?”
The vessel, likely named Gemma like what the boy said, glanced over at Lily. She seemed a bit surprised at first, but then softened her expression. “My apologies for the trouble. These two have a habit of running off when we get to a new area, and they’re quite curious.”

“Indeed. If we had been in the fourth or fifth stratum…that would have been much more difficult.” Gemma gently helped up Lueur, who took out a notepad and wrote before showing it to Rosetta. [Thank you for helping us!]
Marion smiled. “Now…I guess we should go back. Marco will be waiting, and he’s the guy who can get you home!” The group started walking towards the entrance, Gemma supporting Lueur, who was still a bit shaky from her wounds.
“That makes sense.” Rosetta frowned, but nodded politely at Lueur’s message, though quickly turned to the Moa’s corpse to see what materials could be gathered from it. Settling for a long piece of plumage, she plucked the feather and followed the rest of the Tutela guild towards Etria.
Soon, they got to the top of the labyrinth. Instantly, a young boy ran up. He had messy auburn hair and wore a fairly plain outfit with armor on his chest, shoulders, and knees. The eyecatchers were the glowing blue lines on said armor, and the large scythe on his back. “Heeey! I was waiting for you guys! I was about to go look for you myself...” Noticing Rosetta, the boy curiously looked from her to Marion.
The landsknecht grinned. “Rosetta, this is Marco, the friend I was talking about. Marco, this is Rosetta. She got here from an accident with a Geomagnetic Pole, and we told her ‘bout your abilities!” Marco nodded before grinning at Rosetta. “Well, if you need to go back, I’d be happy to help you out!”
