Drinking wine and getting a little more warm and joyous is pretty celebrated in Orthodoxy, especially in times of feast! But not in times of fast or if it is used to avoid problems or if it gets between you and God. There is less openness with other drugs ofc but I know a lot of Orthodox people who smoke weed (or occasionally microdose mushrooms) and still take communion, but also I live in hippy California. My priest doesn't "condone" habitual weed though, especially if you're nearing a sacrament like Baptism. I've started trying to shift more of my reliance from substances onto God.
