I don't believe he's particularly religious. I personally haven't seen him talk much about his beliefs in that regard. I know he's vegan but I don't know the deeper extent. I believe he went vegan for his wifein like the 90s. Could religion play a role? Sure. I think we do get a unique insider view to his take on religion through Luka. Shortly before his time on ER he did an interview where he talked about how roles, for him, are more of a way to reflect inwardly upon oneself. Hypothetically, we can see a lot of that through Luka. Being new to America, the Croatian War, etc. I'm not entirely familiar with how much of Luka was truly fleshed out before goran was cast, but I know he probably played a factor in the character himself. Therefore, it makes a compelling argument to see if his faith is examined through the lens of Luka.
