Grow through what you go through.

Growing up I used to cut my parents lawn with our fun riding mower. Since being adults we’ve had small enough lawns that my husband has always cut ours with a push mower. After moving here he was dying to get a not-cheap zero turn mower (I resisted a little because $$$$$$$$ 🙄) since we have just under an acre total. Since he’ll be gone during mowing season this time he finally showed me how to use the mower and i hate admitting how fun it is.

Our treadmill breaking and coinciding right around Hot Summer Walking Outside Is Awful time frame was not ideal and I’m really starting to feel the grossness of lack of workouts/irregular summer fitness routine/nearly nonexistent legit workout routine besides just general ~active-ness and WOW I need to lift some weights or go for a twenty mile run or something. Which I already know will discourage me more about how out of shape I am back again and UGHHHHH. The cycle continues. Getting out of the flow is THE LITERAL WORST.

Anyone have experience with school aged kid pool parties? Considering one for either back to school/bday combo for big? But also VERY leery. Thoughts? She already had a small class size but I’m thinking either all girls or select few? But never want to be exclusive. Ugh. Big kid bday parties are awful. I said what I said lol.

Teacher mom friends, my kid just got assigned to the teacher who will be out the first two months (first grade, he does not handle major transitions well… I mean, what first grader does???? But my oldest would’ve def better). Anyways, the sub is his/our friend’s mom. Like, that we’ve done park play dates with. I have…. Major concerns. How far do I pursue this? I may or may not have just texted his previous K teacher that I got close to last year. Idc how “appropriate” or not that is 🫣😅.

Wait I didn’t tell you guys that my kids lost screens.

You know the parenthood/marriage phenomenon of like “you don’t actually hate your spouse but when you go out together or spend time without kids you remember you actually like them?”

It’s 85 with a feels like of 95.
