Reading as an intellectual hobby: I don't find reading classical books entertaining per se, but I do get enrichment out of analyzing historical writing styles. This is great, I genuinely do this. I get enjoyment out of this, however it is labour.

Reading as entertainment: I'm really feeling something and being transported while I read this action/adventure/horror/romance genre fiction novel. I'm getting crushes on the characters, I'm identifying with the themes of the story, I like the author's writing style. I'm being immediately rewarded by smoothly available entertainment.

Intellectual entertainment- So hard to come by that I almost wonder if it exists? I'm sorry, while I'm taking in media I'm either intellectually interested in it or I'm entertained by it. It's so hard to get both of those things in a room at the same time.
